I guarantee he knows enough people within the industry that would be willing to work with him on something small that he could crew easily. About seven threads this waffle has been going on for now and it's time to address a few issues.

Clearly his issue is nothing to do with specific individuals but the machinations of gang mentality and wanting others to think like you. And there's certainly a lot of bullshit going in The Trans Community at the moment. As there is every other COMMUNITY, ever. The human race needs exterminating - just to be on the safe side - but that's another issue.

I could give numerous other examples, but there is no need I hope, is there?  It is clearly logical that you CAN argue against another position without it being some kind of projecting criticism of oneself.

The problem with Glinner's position is that, like the bigoted 70's comedians who relentlessly regarded, for instance, women and gay people, or black people, as inconsequential members of society to be mocked and kept down, he has chosen to frame transgender people as sub human deviants and to deny their legitimacy.

By doing so he has allowed himself the luxury of targeting them with an unending stream of hatred and invective which is totally out of order.  Even if his half baked ideas on gender and biology were correct, his behaviour would be woefully unacceptable.  Under the circumstances, the way he goes on is absolutely appalling and therefore it is no surprise that there has been a strong reaction against his hate.

Whilst Glinner paints himself as the victim, there are obvious parallels between the way he treats vulnerable people and how other vulnerable groups have been treated through history.  He is most certainly playing the oppressor and also enjoying it.

If you want some reading with obvious parallels, I would suggest, Primo Levi's "If this is a man", and  his, "The Periodic Table".  If you can't be doing with reading, BBC iplayer has probably still got "The Periodic Table" as a dramatisation.

It's using his elevated influence and status to demonise vulnerable people, going further still by singling people out who aren't involved and who he has never met to directly bully and provoke others to bully. It's beyond the point of it being a case of 'perhaps they just need trans people / BLM explained to them'. Olaf, the only defence I can think of is that you are unaware of exactly what Graham Linehan was like.
