This one is worse - was it 66 Labour MPs newly joined up members of LFoI?

I don't recall the Prophet Mohammed appearing as a candidate for Deputy Leader in the 2015 leadership elections.

ALTHOUGH IF THAT BLOODY CORBYN HAD HIS WAY :@@@

Tom Watson shows what a principled anti-gambling campaginer he is by taking a near 6 figure sum to be an advisor at Paddy Power:

Will his next job be with Machmain Ltd?

Who's looking forward to getting CoNnEcTeD this weekend?!?!?!

I might stick it on in the background if I'm really bored.

Quote"I have a longstanding interest in this sector and have consistently called for action to protect those who may be potentially vulnerable to harm," said Watson.

"In taking on this role in Flutter, I intend to get under the bonnet of the business – and the industry more widely – to understand how best to further develop and implement industry-leading responsible gambling policies.

"I strongly believe that working collaboratively with Flutter in this way will allow me to continue to drive positive change."

Fuck off you spineless fucking frog boy.

For me this is what's most depressing, these cunts burned the place down but they're not even interested in rebuilding or even ruling over the ashes, their work is done and they've got seats waiting for them. They were never politicians, just stooges.

Just seen Labour's new slogan, "A New Leadership".

How anyone can think this team have the slightest whiff of actual vision, and aren't just a retread of Ed Miliband at his worst is beyond me. Focus grouped, forgettable mulch. I've said it before, but I honestly think the most appropriate word for Starmer is "pathetic".

They wish New Labour hadn't already been taken.

I think the most appropriate word for Starmer is Keith. Keith the Word.

Keith is the word, it's the word that you heard
It's got groove it's got meaning
Keith is the time, is the place, is the motion
Now, Keith is the way we are feeling

Why did Labour even change their slogan at the last election? The previous slogan was perfect and it's not like they'd stopped being for the many.

Why would a beige managerialist politician feel the need to come up with a beige managerialist strap-line to highlight the party is under new management? It's a puzzler for sure.

It's probably to appease the few as much as anything else, based on the party donations.

BBC headline today " Labour Party: Starmer aims to build trust with 'new leadership' slogan".

Perhaps telling the truth might be more effective?

peanutbutter

Staggeringly shit slogan, surely it brings to mind restaurants that gave a load of people salmonella trying to relaunch with "under new management"

I'm talking about the change between the 2017 and 2019 elections. At the very least they should have stuck to the theme. For The Many Not The Few 2: Few Harder / Electric Fewgaloo etc.
