Dates are always a bit complex, but I'd add Killer of Sheep, The Driver, and Animal House. And to be honest, Grease and maybe even Convoy. The animated The Lord of the Rings is another notable achievement.

When the doctors and nurses filmed me emerging out of my mum's chuff on August 22nd 1978, confident that it was the second coming of our your lord Jesus Christ.

Great writing... Good acting. Sometimes its just the feeling you get watching it. It's hard for me to like a movie if I don't like any of the characters in the movie.

I've never understood the love for The Deer Hunter but a friend recently told me how much she loves and it went into great, passionate detail why, so I might need to rewatch it.

Only ever seen Animal House once and really didn't like it, but that was a decade ago and on panned and scanned VHS, so it's another one I need to revisit.
