Walter Lure died and nobody said

On 21st August Walter Lure passed away, the last surviving member of Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers, not counting Richard Hell, who left before they really did anything.

They weren't really the greatest band - one of those where the story was almost as interesting as the music - but they have their place in punk history.

And this video, where the whole band are clearly off their tits - just watch Thunders' mouth - and Thunders slaps Lure's hand off the guitar mid-song in order to do a cack-handed singalong bit, is a lot of fun:
