It's only a few years old however it now seems to be blowing air out of the back right. I'm guessing this will need to be sent off for repairs or can I walk into an Apple shop? I think the company have gone to shit since Jobs has died.

Do you mean it's overheating? I think the fans are at the back where the screen joins the body.

If it is overheating, it could be a software issue. I had to get rid of my old Air for that reason, but it was more like 10 years old and I was trying to run Photoshop, Illustrator and Sketch at the same time, to be fair.

There are some processes, like Google Chrome Helper, that are notorious for sending the CPU mental sometimes. Have you tried going into Activity Monitor to see what might be hogging resources?
