Bad Ambassador

Captain Z

Claude the Racecar Driving Rockstar Super Sleuth

"... but no more than a quantum.
I know they do big bags of solace, but I don't want 'em."

"What business of yours is it where I'm from, friendo?"

I'm not particularly fond of the movie, but "I'm Mary Poppins, y'all" from Guardians of the Galaxy seems to have stuck.

Claude the Racecar Driving Rockstar Super Sleuth

"He's not the bogeyman. He's the man you send to kill the bogeyman. I once saw him kill three men in a bar, with a pencil. With a fucking pencil!"

"I once drove a car off a freeway, onto a moving train, while I was on fire. Not the car - I was on fire."

Gulftastic

'I watched the Highlander movie...it was shit!'

Rizla

Good excuse to do a SA accent "I will shoot another pig but I won't shoot a fucking prawn"

mjwilson

"You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain."

"That's my secret, Cap, I'm always <insert emotion to suit current situation>."

Dr Rock

Arguably the line about the Joker 'some people just want to watch the world burn' has more life outside the movie than anything Heath Ledger says.

"My my, you certainly know how to make a bold first move Mr...   eh..."

"Wick. John Wick."

Did Joe Phoenix's Joker have a catchphrase that people in costumes can say in a voice?

'society'

Old Nehamkin

Sebastian Cobb

Did the transaction validate your paradigm of consumerism?

Not convinced about a lot of these, as I've never heard of them and I have my finger right on the pulse. I reckon Taken is the only one that has the universal recognition of your "bigger boats" of this world. Maybe 300 as well.

Hadn't realised either of these were original to The Dark Knight, they both seem like quotes that have been around for ages. Pretty impressive.

"Why so serious?" from the Dark Knight

"I swear to God", "SWEAR TO ME!" from Batman Begins

Matthew McConaghy's chest bump singing from 'Wolf of Wall Street?

"Not quite my tempo" from Whiplash

"I wish I knew how to quit you" from Brokeback Mountain

"I like the way you die boy" from Django Unchained

"What's the most you ever lost on a coin toss?" from No Country For Old Men

"Would that it were so simple?" - Hail Caesar

I will find you, and I will science the shit out of you.

I was coming to post the science the shit line.

I'm not sure how many 2010s films will have lines which stand the test of time, even with the MCU giving us I'M IRON MAN on a loop, but I reckon Thanos might be a cultural touchstone on a par with, say, Keyser Soze. I suppose "Wakanda forever" has taken on a life of its own.

Maybe slightly before the cut off of this thread (well, it's 2008, so not really), but the movie line which has stayed with me the most from the last 15 years is Synecdoche, New York's "Die."

i love lamp

Googling that and seeing a load of Stephen Carell in 70s getup makes me assume it's from Man/Anchor, but your post just makes me think of

Feck it. Fed up with laaaaaamp.

Blumf

"By the hymen of Olivia Newton-John!"

I can't see a social situation where that line isn't applicable.

jobotic

"You know who else was just following orders? Hitler"

Thomas

Godzilla's 'let them fight' still retains some memetic traction.

zomgmouse

"I just want to get... under the skin"

"My name is... Carol"

"And thus I spent... 12 Years a Slave"

"Here we are... we're not very nice people, and we have no glory... neither can we spell... we are... inglourious basterds"

Cuellar
