A lot of the IDLES criticism in the press I've seen so far seems to skirt the heart of the issue, that the music they make is absolute anus.

Although I must admit, I do get a small amount of enjoyment out of singing "modul hate / modul woife / modul VILLidge" in his stupid voice while wandering around the house from time to time.

They really don't like villages do they.

I had it stuck in my head a lot when I started this thread as well. I listened to it a couple of times and also played it to my partner (who thankfully agreed with me that it was awful shite) and it really did a number on me. Talbot does seem to have a knack for wording phrases that burrow into your subconscious which I suppose for many people, coupled with their insipidly basic music, is part of the reason they're so popular - as has been said before, they are quintessentially a boyband for the 6 Music crowd - but for me all the ingredients are wrong and I remain staunchly cynical towards everything they do.
