he'll go in a schumacher style coma for ever and remain pres because the election will be postponed. he will make executive decisions using blinks of his eyes or by reading ekg waves or some shit. for ever.

The bible bashing lot see him as the messiah, so bouncing back from this (fake) infection will further cement that

He'll get to play the "Covid is nothing to worry about" card which will be seen as a bit of Good Old Common Sense and give an anxious country a bit of hope

He gets to conveniently avoid the debates

He gets to conveniently postpone the election, maybe
Is there much benefit in "cementing" his support from Bible bashers? That's an actual, non-rhetorical question, I don't know much about that demographic's voting patterns.

The next debate isn't until the 15th, to skip it his illness will need to be said to have persisted past ten days. That wouldn't be consistent with the "just a case of the sniffles" narrative.

I don't see how he can possibly postpone the election, wouldn't that require a constitutional amendment? If he's ostensibly incapacitated, isn't the deal that Pence will have to take his place?

I don't think he's faking it, but fuck knows. DEAD SOON, hopefully

His base have been locked in since forever, but lackadaisical middle America who have been the victims of a "both-sides"ing of covid coverage can now pretty handily confirm for themselves it is actually a big deal. And if it's a big deal, who's the turnip in charge who's done such an awful job of containing it? The wally who's gone and got it just before the election.

It's a political disaster, not some cunning plan. People are already voting by mail - every day he looks bad; he loses more votes. I think (hope) this finishes him off, electorally speaking. Also the other way.

Jumblegraws

I think if anything he's probably had symptoms since before the debate and has been treating them with painkillers and antipyretics. I reckon he's stupid enough not even to understand the concept of "treating the symptoms" and will demand dangerous levels of medication under the illusion that it's actually making him better. Instead he'll give his teetotal liver a good smacking and suppress whatever immune response that sack of rancid chicken burgers he calls a body can muster. Eventually he'll drown in his own lung gunk, possibly after a last-ditch attempt to slam some Domestos.

What is the cunt:non-cunt ratio of this fucking thing? It seems it is heavily weighted towards killing or at least fucking up nice people and leaving the arseholes relatively unscathed

Social distancing is the best defence and people tend to keep their distance from cunts.

Yeah there's some galaxy brain takes about but what this does is it means at best for Trump we get days and days of the word "Trump" and "coronavirus" appearing in headlines and news reports together, reminding everyone of the undeniable fuckup of his response to it. It's a complete disaster for him, electorally.

lipsink

Can't wait to see him back on TV boasting about how he grabbed COVID by the pussy.

Jack Shaftoe

Supposedly with his age and weight, he's got about an 8.5% chance of carking it. Surely you can double that, because he's been lying about his weight and his insides are just a sludge of McDonalds, ice cream and diet pills. So nearly a 20% chance of him straighforwardly doing a death. He probably won't though, the big orange twat.

I don't know, Trump seems to be someone you can sling any shit at him and doesn't effect him negatively. I don't think this will any effect on his base, it just appears to be something happening to him. The only negative consequence for him would be dying, and then that's more of a loss to the Republicans than Trumpism.

jobotic

Mild cold symptoms apparently.

Please be the start of it please be the start of it. Vent him!

While the rich have better access to healthcare, they are more likely than others to try and direct their treatment in a way that is detrimental. Could easily see Trump insisting he knows best and killing himself in the process.

Jack Shaftoe

Standard procedure is apparently a week of mild symptoms, then it can A. fizzle out, or B. go horrible.

Very much looking forward to the bleach/sunlight application moments.

If he did cark it, what would happen? Who would be the replacement (deputy I guess?) and would they automatically be the next person in the running for the election?
The one bit of good news is that even if he dies before the election, Mike Pence wouldn't be the candidate. According to Sky News, the expected procedure would be for the Republican National Committee to choose a new candidate. But a lot of ballots are printed (although there's always write-in votes), people have voted by post, etc, so it's not clear how votes would actually be tallied. And votes don't necessarily roll over to his replacement. It would be nice to think that having two Republican candidates (one living, one dead) would split the vote, but the likeliest result is a shit load of litigation. Still, there will probably be a shit-load of litigation even if he lives, so dead Trump is still a bonus.

Yes, it usually takes around a week for serious complications to emerge. However, I believe that even when someone has had mild symptoms there can be are long-term health issues, such as damage to the heart, but more research is needed.

One of my friends is a consultant specialising in older people's and although I had read about the long-term damage, it was quite an eye-opener about just how nasty the long-term damage is.... which is why I'm never leaving the house again.

I hope Biden has it too and gets replaced by Bernie.

Yeah I have a lot of friends who are pretty blase about it all and I'm like...nah. I can live like a hermit for six months thanks. A vaccine is closer than we think.

So that's why Melania was bothering to wear a mask at the debate.

Yes, arguably Trump hasn't 'run the US into the ground' any more than Bush and co - Trump didn't inherit and suddenly ruin a blissful paradise nation - but Mara Wilson's great and James O'Brien is annoying, so she has him there.

Also - if you can't see that one of the most prominent Covid-deniers being killed by Covid is utterly perfect, I'm not sure what you're trying to prove. "I'd like to see him stand trial." Yes but the world and its dog knows that will never happen. Whereas him pratfalling into a grave he's dug himself is very possible.

I'dike to see James O'Brien stand trial for his part in bringing fascists into power in this country

Fambo Number Mive

If Trump stood trial, a load of MAGA people would try and get him out of jail.

James O'Brien is the kind of guy who acts shocked on the first date when a woman says she hasn't watched the West Wing and then earnestly explains the entire plot for the rest of the evening.
