No, still not got a visa (because I don't have a job over there and don't want to get one, defeats the purpose) and it's more complicated than the good ol' days of just paying an agent to make things happen. The only way anything used to get done effectively was via bribery and corruption, so without that lubrication it's just a waiting game and the red tape is almost making me wistful, like a nostalgic Stockholm Syndrome. Looking like I'll probably have to get a job just to get there and then set up with a local partner and then convert my visa. It's hard to do that, though, for many reasons. Fortunately, the second wave will keep me busy in the meantime hahaha!!!
