QuoteIn a further warning to Keir Starmer and his leadership team, Richmond Park – which had been the first CLP in the country to nominate Starmer for Labour leader – also passed a motion of support for Corbyn. This demonstrated that it wasn't just bastions of the Left where the campaign is attracting support; the meeting had one of the highest attendances of any since that leadership vote earlier this year.

Excellent. Don't leave the party now. It's just getting started.

Haha! He is a ridiculously nice bloke eh

I'm sure I've mentioned it before but I have to say again, John McD wrote me a lovely message one time about Mr Corbyn and stuff, they are genuinely decent humans.  Not just to the few either.  That's why, no matter what gets thrown at them, people who know that will never let them down.  No matter what.

Starmer, who'll be standing by him at the end of all things?  His tailor?  His pals on the Trilateral Commission?  Margaret Fucking Hodge?

There might be a cyclist lying by him.

Unfortunately the comments on that from the usual human toilets have made my fucking blood boil to the extent I'm actually considering responding to them on twitter, something I would normally never entertain. We cannot even be allowed to enjoy a nice gesture without these FUCKING CUNTS lowering open their flabby gobs and vomiting pre-digested shit all over. I've just had enough. Enough of this. For fuck's sake.

The only lying near him is coming from his mouth.

He does seem to be fulfilling his promise to unify the party.

Probably a more productive way to do it than getting everyone to hate him, mind.

I don't know if I'm overreacting but I just wanted to say I know it's awful and I feel the same rage you do from time to time.

Just keep close to mind that Twitter and other outlets really isn't a fair reflection of views or strength of feeling and tends to marginalise useful discourse. Often it's just factions galloping into each battle and getting nowhere. Any old weirdo clique can clog up a thread of replies for half a day and 1 person with the right trollhat on can ruin your day if you let them.

Think what Corbyn himself would do, then do that but with slightly less backing down and self-flagellating.

No more delicious pastries for you, Kieth!

I applaud them.  People need to stand up and speak out now.  Not to argue, just to let others know that there won't be any more compromising.  The threats and lies aren't working any more.

Huh? Does twitter tailor the replies you see? I'm seeing mostly lovely replies.

king_tubby

Yeah, you'll see people you follow or who follow people you do first, I think.

pigamus

Yeah Phil_A you need to unfollow your nan, it's the only way

A left-wing splinter party is presumably what the right want, given that it would likely TINGE its way out of existence. On the other hand, if a couple of the big unions went with them...

Quote from: Lovely Uncle Len on twitterThe continued persecution of Jeremy Corbyn, a politician who inspired millions, by a leadership capitulating to external pressure on Party procedures risks destroying the unity and integrity of the Party. I urge Keir Starmer in the strongest terms to pull back from the brink.

Quote from: The Mirror todaySenior figures in three left-wing unions - Unite, the FBU and the CWU - told the Mirror they would push to slash the amount of funding given to the party to fight the elections next May, unless Mr Corbyn had the whip reinstated.

The NIP are planning on standing candidates in the May locals. Doubt they'll get any in, but it's a start.

king_tubby

Maybe those Kirklees and Lancaster councillors who left Labour will stand for them.

I'd quite like an "I'm in the NIP" badge.

Keith just requested 3 months to investigate Corbyn's publicly available comments regarding permanent expulsion.

I just said "nah"

The shock to Labour needs to be concerted. The bakers have used their influence as a warning shot, fine, but we really need the unions, the clp etc and the rump of socialist mps and a few game centre lefties to co-ordinate an event that takes 1 day and brings Labour down and immediately broadcasts its replacement.

Never vote for Labour again, what a fucking man mental

Not all their fault of course, Radio 4 and the BBC I blame the most.

My twitter filter isn't preventing me seeing the complete 'centrist' valves in that thread. 'It's all Corbyn's fault I voted lib dem!' they cry.
