The fact a dyslexic man used the term "tact" instead of "tack"?

As I said, you're not the first but you are someone that does it repeatedly.  You seem able to recognise the difference now, so that's great.

It doesn't matter. This didn't confuse anyone.

Ok. I don't know what the solution is but that shit's important, unlike the 'tact' error.

Yes and I can only apologise.

This forum is not particularly dyslexia friendly; in design and in understanding from a small group of posters - i've largely just learned to live with the barbs.  Which is why I often try and be patient and ask people to ask me to explain so I can correct things I have missed.

I know the difference but that's not really a snappy enough answer for modern media.

Single-issue anti-racist is snappy and passes that test.  The clock is also a visual element which is aimed at countering this.  My feelings are that it resonates with most people that care about racism.

Right - so the idea is basically that the only racism they're interested in is antisemitism, because it can be used as a stick to beat Corbyn with, and any other racism that might exist in the Labour party, Islamophobia etc., is either dialled down or ignored?

Yes.

I would stay away from Corbyn and keep this universal and non-factional, this speaks to a bigger problem in the press.  I mean imagine if the press behaved the same way it has been doing over other types of racism?

Yes and I can only apologise.

And sorry for my terseness. I'm trying your idea in the wild right now. I don't want to have to update again.

Single-issue anti-racist is snappy and passes that test.  The clock is also a visual element which is aimed at countering this.  My feelings are that it resonates with most people that care about racism.

I mean it isn't a snappy rejoinder to the accusation that it's like 'all lives matter'.

I mean imagine if the press behaved the same way it has been doing over other types of racism?

Although, this is approaching one.

Don't worry about it.  I didn't think you were being particularly cunty about it either FWIW.

I'm just looking into solutions, i'm not saying this is the answer, but it strikes me that an approach that puts pressure on the party and press to recognise that the AS response is not proportionate to the reality of the problem when looking at responses to other forms of racism as comparator.

I mean what is the percentage of investigations into forms of racism in party over the years?

C'mon, be kind.

The saddest thing is that elitism over grammar and spelling is something that has been used against poor people for most of modern history.  It's quite depressing seeing avowed socialists so eager to humilate people for not being as good with words as them.

Blindspots.  We all have them.

Ah, sorry, you get to question someone's socialism based on their flagging up the difference between the words tack and tact[1]?  You get to spin that out into being eager to humilate people for not being as good with words as them?

Get away with you, you cheeky fuck.
 1. In, what I saw, as a rather jocular and general manner
I'm hoping people, in general, pay attention to the difference between tact and tack.

I say this without tact because this is not the first occasion where my sensibilities have been affronted in this precise manner.  I hope it will be the last.

Not sure why you've chosen to take my reply to Johnny as in I was talking about this particular incident, not incidences. Your quoted self implies that this isn't the case.

It's not questioning socialism based on flagging up the difference between a word.  It's a pervasive attitude that stinks around grammar and spelling, up to and including trying to belittle attempts to point it out by implying it has happened once regarding one word and then calling someone a cheeky fuck based on this utterly made up scenario by you, for you, to save your face.

Just watching the Friday Novara, looks like Corbyn's team are shoving in subject access requests to get the comms in his disciplinary stuff, so it might get quite messy if there's signs of interference.

I saw that, very interested to see how it pans out.  It seems clear there was interference but do they, does anyone, care what really happened?  Nowadays, it seems not.  Court of Law's something else, of course.  I hope he hangs them all out to dry.

Probably not, the political editors will give him an easy ride probably; it'll still be there in black and white that Starmer is a bullshitter who cannot be trusted. For someone who rode in on a platform of 'electability, integrity and unity' that should be pretty damning.

No you are being an arsehole and have problem with reflecting on the way you behave.  Not my job to sort it out but i'm very happy to point it out (not that it isn't evident to anyone paying attention).

You do realise the idea behind all of this lefty stuff is to be compassionate and empathetic to others, to defend the weak and attack the powerful, you seemed to have confused that with being a pompous snark on an internet forum.

These superchats are galling though eh (although props to "single-issue antiracist" matey). I hope Novara rise to the point that they don't need to rely on them.

I think they are taking the lead from TYT who make a quite a bit of money from these things.  People like the idea of being part of the show and contributing.  I quite like it and I think they get it about right with it alongside the actual content.

Btw did people see the Frankie Boyles interview with Sarkar - was really interesting.

Nah, I've got it lined up.

Some of them are ok, but a lot of them aren't adding much. Like a political version of the people who used to phone up Dave 'I wear a hat to hide my knob' Pierce to tell him spike, chicken and wozza are in an SR Nova in Daventry services still "HAVING IT LARGE".

Yeah I see what you mean there is a bit of that.  I haven't watched many of the interviews recently (since all the inside Corbyn stuff).  The chap on the history of the economist was great a while back if you missed that one.
