'Louise' by the Human League just came on my iPod.
Gave me an idea for a pop quiz round.
There must be LOADS of hit songs that are just someone's first name.

Toto-Rosanna.

Fun Fact: This particular Rosanna was also the subject of the Peter Gabriel song "Come talk to me" AND "In your eyes". Turns out Rosanna Arquette really had an effect on Steve Porcaro and Ol' Gabriel.

Another category you could have would be songs written for other famous people by these singer/ band types. So, you could have the aforementioned song by them fellers who'd had a grand old time with Rosanna Arquette and thought she was smashing , and also " I Love You, Suzanne" written for Suzanne Vega by a besotted Lou Reed.

Erm...might be a bit limited , that category. If it's any help, I've started a band ( Lisa and the Likely Lads), and one of our songs is called " You've Got Killer Good Looks, Jodie! " ( # When it comes to acting, you do a dead good job/ ignore all those eejits who say you look like Pob#), although, admittedly, we ourselves are not very famous yet.

Are you referring  to the remix, then?

I suppose so? I just know that was a hit single.

I'VE ALREADY MENTIONED IT, YOU NIT!
Although you could have countered with " Yep, I call it " The Correct Spelling Of Her Surname" Remix"".

She must have had an effect on Pocaro's bandmate David Paich too, as he wrote the song.

I'm sure Porcaro had some influence there though, I mean he was involved everything in the 80's. He wrote Human Nature after all.

He contributed the synth solo but he was always outside of the Toto hit making machine. Human Nature was one of 3 songs from that era that he wrote, a scrap of a demo written because of frustration of having no influence from within the band.

With "Maggie May" is May the surname or part of the first name? She could be, say, Maggie May Anderson.
