Very depressing news. Of course, it's inevitable we'll see different forms of zoonotic viruses mutate as long as humans keep abusing animals on an industrial scale. I had no idea that there were that many farmed minks in Denmark to begin with (roughly 3 per person).

Denmark is the world's biggest producer of mink fur and its main export markets are China and Hong Kong.

This was all known on May 25th. They just waited 5 months to make sure it was a problem some money.

But hey! Returning a mutated version of the virus to China; I'm amazed Trump hasn't offered to buy Denmark so he can keep it going.
