Most successful sitcoms?

This is the sort of thing you'd overhear some gibbering wide-tie tosser saying in the staff room and you'd come on here to take the piss out of it.

Reminds me of a thread on here ages ago where the OP had a theory that all Steve Coogan's characters in the 90s were in fact Alan Partridge. I mean, it didn't even get past the first hurdle and he gave up.

I don't know if this is worth a thread, but it occured to me the other day that Ted Danson has been a star of three different sitcoms that have been "successes" (multi-season runs on network TV) - "Cheers", "Becker" and "The Good Place" (and he has another one coming fairly soon).

He was also in "Bored To Death", which got multiple seasons. I never got on with it, but that's by the by. And it wasn't "network" TV either.
