Surely Will Arnett is going to be involved with this. He would fit very nicely into the Toast universe.

Cor, you've just reminded me to revisit Todd Margaret very soon.

Will there be unlimited American toast?

Can you hear me Clem Fandango ?

I was pleased until I heard on yesterday's announcement it's going to BBC1. That was... unexpected. Ain't exactly Mrs. Brown's Boys, is it?

Niche and surreal is what the show's good at, I'm not sure how the BBC1 audience is going to handle that.

You just know there will be an american counterpart that he despises even more.

No, it's got mid 90's BBC2 written all over it.

Well they did put This Time with Alan Partridge on BBC1 at 9.30pm.

Presumably they're trying to build up the BBC One sitcom library a bit. It's dwindled over the years to almost nothing.

I stopped watching BBC1 when the One show was commissioned for that very reason.

And the comedy was noticeably broader as a result.

True but also managed to get anti-British Irish protest songs on BBC1 during primetime, albeit in a comedy setting.

"This could be the new Little Britain USA, fellow focus group members!"

is it BBC One proper or a BBC Three thing they put on after Graham Norton?

"Better add a laughter track, so the audience knows where the funny bits are!"

This is legit giving me anxiety now 😆

Friday an' all. definitely going to be a Friday if it's the Toast slightly-off style

When they confirm air dates, I'd certainly be keen for a Toast Of London watch-along thread in advance.
