Nah, he's not capable of delayed gratification or long-term planning. Certainly not capable of the kind of abstract thinking that can redefine his inconvenience as a chaotic loss for his "enemies". Barely has a grasp of enemies except for a handful of nicknamed political opponents and amorphous blobs called things like "the media". Certainly not enough knowledge or nous to think about how they work and how they might be impacted.

Right now he's reflexively reaching for his phone and grimacing when he remembers he can't tweet. He's annoyed every time he remembers he can't put a video out on YouTube or Facebook. Can't counter his enemies' LIES in immediate fashion. It's gnawing at him.

Trump is falling out with everyone in his inner circle mainly due to them not defending him enough or finding a way out of the quagmire he's got himself into. One of those is apparently one of his loudest and most deranged supporters, Rudy Giuliani.
