It was really good.

Him reading

Loved him switching back and forth between 'Rob' and 'Ron'

Didn't enjoy the guest. I just want Butterfield!

I'm the same. I don't really know who he is but I found him a bit boring and annoying. The Butterfield stuff was great though.

That was so good. Any idea how regular this is going to be?

QuoteThis podcast will be released frequently. That frequency is bi-decadal. Tune in for the next episode, December 2040.

The bit where

had me in absolute stitches.

The next episode will need to be quarantined for at least 24 days.

Yeah I was on a walk while listening to the podcast and that whole bit was just so funny I couldn't control having a hearty old laugh. As soon as he started with the voice I was off.

JamesTC

Biggest laugh yet and it comes from the search results.

fucking ten seconds in and i'm in hysterics

Thought all of the "bits" were fantastic - the podcast jingles, pre-recorded stuff - but it really fell flat with the interview for me.

Delaney was certainly game, but there's something about Butterfield on the hoof that doesn't quite work for me. Perhaps I'm not prepared to accept him as a real person, or maybe the interview could have bene better produced.

Either way more good than bad would listen again.

PlanktonSideburns

Yea Butterfield is currently ly better written down than improvd

the

Similar feelings here - thought the first ten minutes were brilliant, then my enthusiasm waned as it relied more heavily on 'riffing' with the guest.

There was nothing bad about it per se, but listening to an exercise of the comedic dexterity of some American bloke isn't going to be as funny as Butterfield himself. The funny bits made the whole thing worth it though.

GoblinAhFuckScary

Agreed. Interview was a meandering waste of time.

Michael Caine through the keyhole bit was very very good

The Roofdog

Guessing this isn't going to be a massively regular thing then?

bgmnts

I was going to listen to this but yeah it had someone on it and it put me off.

This is absolutely right. Has more than a faint air of improv about it, which is not pleasing to mine ear.

The blurb says it's bidecadal, so we can look forward to the next one in 19 years time.

I enjoyed the pure Butterfield bits but the Q&A parts seemed a cross between improv and the dreaded Emergency Questions on RHLSTP. Did not enjoy.
