Wuhan doctor and CCP member Li Wenliang raised the alarm about coronavirus in a private WeChat group.

Despite received consensus, he was not in fact a whistle-blower nor free speech martyr, he shared the information with select colleagues and told them not to spread it any further, just to tell their families to be careful. Nevertheless, his WeChat account was suspended and he was contacted by the authorities and told to shut the fuck up.

On Feb 7th, he died of Covid-19.

It's eerie watching this video from Jan 4th, when there were only about 40 (known) cases and no deaths, and people being interviewed basically saying "oh it's not that bad, not worth worrying about" (understandably)
