Thought Hawkins was cruising to victory, but missed an easy red to offer O'Sullivan a way back in there.

Yeah, interesting frame, this. Interesting match shaping up to get a bit tense.

Blue Jam

"...but the black has stayed out..."

Nope, this ain't over yet.

The Culture Bunker

I don't know a lot about snooker, in honesty, but it's amazing how O'Sullivan looked completely beaten not that long ago, and has now somehow entered the zone to drag himself back into contention.

Blue Jam

Ronjo on the warpath now. Decider?

Blue Jam

The Culture Bunker

Just shows, all it took was missing what seemed an easy red and O'Sullivan thought "oh, well, fuck it, might as well". Narrow margins and all.

Blue Jam

Oh this is going down to the WIRE

Blue Jam

Wanna see Ronjo triumph now.

Blue Jam

YESSSSSSSSSSSS

All-Australian final

QuoteO'Sullivan never looked back and said he enjoyed the Celtic Manor venue more than what he called "a Category A prison" base in Milton Keynes.

Blue Jam

Yes, he was just on ITV4 going on about how he'd spent too much time visiting Category A prisons already. Oooofff.

No RAAANKIN' POINTS MAAAATE to be had tomorrow though.

It's a ranking event.

Blue Jam

"He's from the state of Victoria, and now he's moving towards Victory."

Yep, Phil Yates is back.

sevendaughters

so is Crap At Finals O'Sullivan! is it just me or is his break steadily becoming awful?

Blue Jam

That was one hell of a fluke.

How many finals in a row is that he's lost now? It's getting Jimmy Whitesque.

5 in a row, all this season, last final he won was the World Champs.

From memory I think the first two were to Trump, at that point was looking like it was maybe a mental block against Trump but if you add Higgins, Robertson and the guy who I can't quite remember his name it was that much of a shock (Jordan someone?) then it's becoming a big problem for him.

Norn Open - vs. Trump (9-7)
Scottish Open - vs. Selby (9-3)
Welsh Open - vs. Jordan Brown (9-8)
Players Championship - vs. Higgins (10-3)
Tour Championship - vs. Robertson (10-4)

I've seen the best part of all of those matches and he played some fairly abysmal snooker in patches. Aggressive but uncommitted. Sure, Higgins and Robbo ate up mistakes like ruthless pros, but generally seen a lowering of his standards. The nadir was the WST Pro event where he lost 6 out of 7 (including losing a frame because he was late - he won that match). I think it might be lockdown bollocks as much as anything - he was flat and unshaven and generally looked like he'd rather be elsewhere the last few weeks.

Still would have him as likely to make the WC final.

druss

If he gets a good draw he would make the final with his C game but he has been so inconsistent this season that I think he'd lose as soon as he was up against a Selby, Trump, Higgins or Robertson.

Christ! I might soon get to the point where he has stopped annoying me and I instead find him funny.

Won't be having any bad words said about Phil Yates thank you very much.

Galeee

Was Phil Y the commentator who said something about Neil R's shot being "as golden as his hair" sometime during this tournament?
Loved that.
