They could just say Biden's now the president and ignore him until the plane just malfunctioned and fell out of the sky. Then charge him for damaging president Biden's plane if he even survived the landing/crash.

I wonder what proportion of loony cult Trumpers will still follow him in future. He could start his own religion or political party or maybe TV station depending on the numbers. This is my favourite podcast on Trump gossip for anyone with an hour to spare. This guy called Noel Casler was a talent babysitter on The Apprentice for six years or so and I'll paraphrase one plum exchange.

I still think that by the time the vote arrives that there won't be enough to convict. Him losing the election was a win, second impeachment and conviction would be too good a thing to happen. Impeachment will happen but I don't think the 67 votes will happen.

That's probably right but and there's gonna be the handful of Republicans who are as brainwashed as the average Trump supporter, but then hopefully the rest are the ones who realise that supporting Trump is political poison and voting against him is a vote for the future of their own careers more than anything else. There might also be a couple of them who see it as the right thing to do.

According to one Republican some members decided not to certify the results since they did not want blowback from MAGA/QAnon.

No surprise it's going to be a shitshow. Trump won't resign. Pence won't use the 25th. And impeachment will be tantalising close but the thought of Trump or Trump-annointed presidential run is going to cause headaches for the next four years.
