I seem to have got into a row on Facebook about James O'Brien - I seem to recall JOB tweeting about how Johnson was preferable to Corbyn as Prime Minister, but I can't locate it. Does anybody remember this and can point me to it? Ta.

Ian Austin said it. Not sure about JOB.

gib

Yes he did say something along those lines.

Christ, imagine thinking that alleged canine botherer had anything of worth to say about anything.

Spoon of Ploff

He's fond of saying they were as bad as each other, and the only reason he voted labour was because of his local MP. He liked the cut of his jib or something.

NoOffenceLynn

I'd have no doubt he's said it, he has loathed Corbyn since he refused an interview with him.
And he always had a bee in his bonnet from then on... awful hack that he is.

Sorry not much help though either

Through the AS stuff he was saying he hoped people could hold their nose and vote Labour but understood if they didn't.  He is a weasel and will often find ways of saying things that are implied but not outright said, his main schtick was he was politically homeless so didn't support anyone.  If this is a row about him voting Tory however then he admitted that in the last three elections prior to the last one he has voted once for each party Libs, Labour and Tory so he has voted likely for Cameron I think.

He's a wank. Jeremy Kyle for sensible adults that watch PMQ's.

Yep.  I was saying this for the last 5+ years as he was gradually gaining more and more leftwing listeners (largely out of desperation that there wasn't anything else out there); he is certainly bad faith but I tend to agree with Tom Mills view that he is simply an opportunist he saw a lefty audience and worked out how to work it.

I remember him from the early years of Channel 5's The Wright Stuff. He was quite a conservative middle of the road rent a journalist. The kind that ends up nowadays on Jeremy Vine.

He used to write for the Daily Star.

This may be what you're looking for ("[Johnson] was, arguably, less pillocky than the other pillock [Corbyn]").

Oh, yes, of course. Well remembered.

gosh darn that brexit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pink Gregory

"Pillock".

Also imagine genuinely thinking that.  There are literally no consequences for him, so he can say whatever loopy shit he likes.

The Giggling Bean

I  really like JOB. I listened to a lot of stuff of his on YouTube. He was never complimentary about Jeremy Corbyn but seemed to go after the tories slightly more. I asked my wife for his book one particular Christmas. Very shortly before the big day he put out a tweet claiming "Labour is now the party of anti semites and holocaust deniers". I was absolutely livid as, in a round about way, he was calling me that as a Labour member. To this day I've never read a word of that book and will probably throw it on ebay at some point.

I now see him as a centrist/champagne socialist twat and don't bother listening to him any more.

Buelligan

I don't like JOB.  Not one tiny bit.  Call me a racist but there's a certain type of dusty white man, whose facial hair is like Lozza's, desperate and yet unkept, anyway, this type.  They talk like they're so entranced with their own wisdom, it's making them curl one out.  They sit in pubs burbling on about beer gravity.  They crouch in garages, hogging the tools, blocking the light, simples.  Sometimes they teach maths, scribble all over your thoughts, arseholes.  Dull beige men, dusty, narrow and boring.  Dominating.  And smug.

Imagine being married to one.  You'd have to kill 'em in the end.  Maybe when they're asleep, although that's probably their best time.

There was a tweet on my TW feed on (I think) Friday from someone outing him from his LBC show that he literally did say that "Jonson is doing a terrible job at the moment but the alternative would have been worse."

Not a JOB tweet but he is still saying this shit apparently.

ajsmith2

The IDS parody song pretty much sums him and his worldview up. (And I know it's been posted here before, but it says it all so succinctly it bears reposting every time)

He had a whale of a time on Friday going on about how confusing the current lockdown rules are with regard to exercise, while freely admitting to not following the 'stay at home' one because he wasn't keen on broadcasting from his shed any more... presumably because he didn't have line of sight to his producer and couldn't see them nodding and giving a thumbs up to every monologue and caller put down. Kinda sums him up for me. Still listen tho,,, I should probably get help for that.

Sebastian Cobb

Jobbies can't be totally against brexit. Without it, there wouldn't have been a divisive issue for him to make shareable content of him hectoring people he disagreed with, which would've meant no legion of FBPE stanning him. If it weren't for brexit, hardly anyone would know how he was.

He is cunt who has been drip feeding an alternative version of events into naive leftwingers ears for sometime.

The trick is to call these people out and get them seen for what they are doing before they do their damage, not after.
