MANA up to £1.10 today, the dream is alive! TEZOS has been a good performer too (up 60%) along with Etherium. There's one called MATIC I was told may skyrocket at some point, seems to be showing signs of doing something recently, might be worth a lil punt I dunno. Of course the whole lot could go tits up by the time I finish typing this post.

touchingcloth

Has anyone tried any FGP yet? It's up at least 1000 from the initial release, quite crazy.

Yep.

Situation has crashed across the board, between 8-25% down.

If history has taught us anything it is that the graphs keep on going up if you wait long enough.

Not dogecoin though that's gone mate fucked never to return.

Chairman Yang

This is the start of what they'll call the Crypto Recession, right here.

Kittens is the smart investor, $DOGE is the coin that's held its position best in the overnight drop.

Lovely stuff.

I'm down $65 overnight! Bastards.

Missed buying a $2 powerball ticket yesterday so I'm down 88 million now.

Feels like a correction was needed after some of those days last week.

I had some Vether left from last year.

I bought the Monty Python boxset this morning.

Astonished my DOGE is doing better than my Ethereum. After the other stocks crashed in early March I used to joke to my wife that I was just gonna take my money out and put it all on the DOGE, the silliest example I could think of. Insane to think that would've actually been the best financial move possible.

I'm down $10 on my latest stab at it (when it hit .40-.50, I was certain it'd keep going up), but still up overall. HODLing.

I'm diversified into all kinds of crazy crypto shit but I'm starting to think Ethereum is the one to watch in the next few months. It has too many things going for it. Happy to keep a fatter position on it than my low cap casino gambles.

Yeah you'd be mad not to HODL at this point. The price will even out, might take a week or even (gasp) a month, but it'll go back up. I'm still up over 40% since February so why sell now?

peanutbutter

Looks  like I weathered that one pretty well, cashed out half of my bitcoin and cardano within hours of their respective peaks. Will probably buy back in in a few hours.

You'd go insane focusing on anything more than the top few surely? And Doge is so much more bullshit than an already completely bullshit thing I donna how anyone would be able to stick with it; only thing I cant help but be annoyed about is that I wasn't cynical enough years ago to realise it would obviously have a crazy surge at some point.

Aye I'm not worried about Ethereum long-term. From all I can gather, something unprecedentedly mad would have to happen for it not to double or more by the end of the year. The DOGE is obviously the best performer short-term, but I sweat a little about holding it overnight.

$ETH will definately pop at some point soon, it's very undervalued compared to $BTC - or is $BTC overvalued?

This chart is worth taking notice of as the money flows through the cycle.

Yeah, fuck doge but good luck to it. Some coins held up well today, like VET. It's a sign of solid hodlers. Those coins seem to be a good hedge against flash corrections. I'm happy only half my shit corrected. Even if you had shit crash today it will bounce. The crash was whales giving leveraged long holders a spanking. I couldn't bring myself to do a leveraged long trade. Talk about making your own personalised bubble.

Anyway on Vechain, I'm tempted but 5x over 6 months isn't too sexy if I'm already in eth. I'm looking at Nuls and Harmony here. Just coz it's black Sunday.

JaDanketies

Local bitcoins banned a load of accounts in the last few days - probably thousands at least - which might explain any wobbles you investors have seen.

MojoJojo

Just a public service annoucement, cos I didn't realise. Coinbase PRO is not some sort of paid for upgrade to coinbase. It provides more data and has much lower fees than coinbase. There is literally no reason to use normal coinbase.

(Ohh, and if you have money/coins in coinbase, you can transfer them to coinbase pro without a fee)

I don't understand what caps mean in relation to this. Could you please explain?

QuoteLet's imagine that an altcoin is currently worth $100, and it has a circulating supply of 25 million. Multiplying the two tells us what the crypto market cap is — in this case, $2.5 billion.

To put it very simply it works its way through this list in bands.

I think it means "Market capitalizations", which is cost of coin * number of coins. In general, a coin with a lower market cap is a lot more volatile and prone to large swings.

Shoulders?-Stomach!

Thanks both, that's helped.

ZoyzaSorris

I keep trying to convince myself Tezos is the misguided altcoin brainchild of Jeff Bezos' idiot half-brother Terry, it's like some sort of strange internal compulsive malfunction. My brain has definitely been harmed by something of late.

I'm reliably* informed that Doge is going to the moon tomorrow with it being a meme and all that. Should I lump on, or am I better just bagging a load of pound coins and donating them to a canal?

Stay on the look out for free drops. Speculating on coins with hockey stick shaped charts probably ain't great.

On the cap, it's worth looking at the total supply and circulating supply as well. Circulating gives you the current cap but that might get diluted over time as more tokens get circulated. Check out coingecko.com for all the stats on a token/coin. Also check a project's website, whitepaper or telegram group for the token release plan. Another useful stat is the TVL. That indicates activity/volume. It can be misleading if the activity is shite but it can be useful. Not sure where I heard it, but TVL of 10% of circulating supply is minimum decent.

Edit: TVL is total locked actually, different from daily volume. I need sleep. TVL is important too. For proof of stake that measures the size of the network. Also indicates the amount of tokens that can't easily be dumped on the market.

Video Game Fan 2000

Yes. That. Also make sure you check the emission rate or whether contract holders can mint a stock just because.
