The Will Ferrell outtakes from Eastbound & Down where poor Craig Robinson is completely unable to hold it together in the face of Ferrell's extemporising about his plums.

"LET THE BOY WATCH!"

Mostly Pegg corpsing but what happens at 0.52 made me laugh for days.

Shaun of the dead outakes.

These are mostly annoying winks to camera but worth it for McAvoy at 2.54 clattering about in a wheelchair as Prof X whilst trying to deliver a big dramatic speech.

This is one of the funniest things I've ever seen

I enjoy outtakes because a) sometimes they're very funny, b) you get a sense of the on-set camaraderie, as mentioned upthread, and c) I like to see the reactions of different actors. (I enjoy Evil Outtakes like Christian Bale's meltdown for similar reasons).

I especially like to see actors caught off-guard by an unexpected bit of improvisation. As annoying as Gervais' omnipresent laugh is, and as difficult as he must be to work with, I like the 'Bishop Muzorewa' outtake from The Office.

I like the clip where a hoard of zombs genuinely unnerves Pegg, and he begs the extras to 'fuck off'. Don't think it's in that compilation.

Brass Eye doc Oxide Ghosts features a lot of warming failed takes.

I have a special fondness for the really old outtakes you occasionally saw on Alright On The Night - the ones from prior to the 1960s / 1970s. There's a faintly eerie and forbidden quality to those ones, partially because examples of them are so rare. Although a weird thing about the Warner Bros collections from the late 30s (which are the first examples of this kind of thing at all, possibly?) is how most of the actors in that tend to get really angry and upset at themselves for messing up. It does rather dampen things as a result, though there are still some amusing ones amongst them.

The "fuck off!" bit is there at 2 min 17 secs. The best part is Pegg and Serafinowcz doing a whole scene as the Beatles.

One of these days I'll see that - the pissing elephant bit sounds extraordinary, like an angry satirical Blue Peter.

Interesting juxtaposition between how good Serafinowicz's McCartney impression is and how pisspoor Pegg's Lennon is.

I thought he was trying to do George, but it's been years since I saw it.

To be fair Serafinowicz is a scouser and I reckon Pegg is just half-arsedly indulging this bit of improv knowing it's going nowhere near the final cut.
