Wot, no Beatles?

You may find something that could be 18th generation derivative of Beatles. Francis Monkman was in the band "Sky" who did a live version of "Fool on the hill"

Ballad of Ballard Berkley

I shall listen to this playlist, ta.

Some really nice stuff here. Songs 2-6 went straight onto a playlist for me.

Feel free to add your own items to the playlist - must be in the same 'vein' - no mid-noughties indie landfill.

I'll add this as I've just discovered he is a Japanese clay modeller who is aiming to release 100 albums for some reason (I have a few of his, but hadn't listened to them until last night as I was tidying up some digital albums)

Ventla - Mayu Tsuruta

Fortunately mid-noughties indie landfill is my most hated genre period.

Some of the stuff I've been listening to recently:

Ruxpin - Together

MRR-ADM - 3hree

Arp - Reading A Wave

Eyedress - Jealous

David Grubbs & Taku Unami - Walking Corpse In An Old House

Gi Gi - Tricofero

Owl - Infinite Horizon

araabMUZIK - ELITES

BlodwynPig

Ruxpin = phenomenal

The tracks from that album on my playlist are Moment With You and I Miss You

Arp = A recent discovery

Again, I have four tracks from Zebra, but not your choice... Fluorescence and Nzuku being my favourites.

Of the others, I've only heard of araabMUZIK, so will check them out now!

BlodwynPig

The Owl track is like Stratosfear-era TD

Gi Gi is probably my favourite of that bunch, develops into a Bvdub-esque bliss out.

Here is a hypnagogic favourite (remix by bvdub). I had it on my iPhone in a hotel in Copenhagen as I was in half-sleep and it was such a transcendental feeling in that state

Yeah the whole record's been a favourite of mine in the last few years. Together and Please Stay are my two favourites; it might be the romantic element.

Arp's a very recent discovery for me too. There's something about the saxophone floating above the musical cascade on Reading A Wave that gets me. Those are great choices though.

That's a beaut.

BlodwynPig

More hypnagogia

Eurythmics - The City Never Sleeps (CFCF Mix)

and from the king of melancholy, aptly from his "Hypnagogia" album

Dan Mason - Shade

Some scorching new breakbeats

BufoBufo - Iridescent

I'm a big fan of John Roberts. Have a listen to these if you haven't, BP.

New track called Zero

Title track on his last album, Can Thought Exist Without The Body

BlodwynPig

Cheers, that pulse sounds familiar, some mid-90s IDM. If an artist wants to grab my attention they should think of something better than John Roberts.

As its a Friday, I've randomised my iTunes and picked the first song to pop up

Paul Hardcastle & First Light - I Don't Care
