I won't.

When he dies they should chop his corpse up and send a bit to Australia and a bit to every other part of the Commonwealth, like with William Wallace.

Ferris

Story on Twitter that he went this afternoon.

...for a long lie down and feels better than ever!

Aye, thank god for multi channel tv and the internet. Back in the day, there'd be no escape.

Now on Porn TV, a tribute to Prince Philip...

Butchers Blind

Phil's gone

For a daily check up. Still alive.

The Sydney Herald: "HOW IS HE SIR?", reporters outside the hospital shouted. "He's okay", replied the Prince, with a wank.

Where's he gettin' that kind of grossness from? The old William would never have  behaved like that.

idunnosomename

if the queen is in mourning for eight days and can't sign royal assent, does that mean if he had died at a particularly bad time then no emergency laws could be passed? thatd be a lark wouldnt it. oh no we cant vote on the bill to go to war with the martian warfleet, the queen has to be sad

I like that Phillip is dressed like one of Alex's droogs from A Clockwork Orange.  Suits the mad old cunt.

What would probably happen is the nation would take to their balconies and their doorsteps and they'd clap for her... and they'd keep clapping, never stopping, until she came out of mourning (and led the fight-back against the Martians)

I hope he survives. Because if the cunt carks it before the Cunt of Death there will be some enforced national mourning, but if he goes after then there will be jubilation, frankly.

Phil's missus looking absolutely distraught:

And like CGI.

Alberon

That's not the first time. She has a history of looking photoshopped into wherever she's supposed to be.

Maybe she really was replaced by CGI years ago...

Blue Jam

I don't mean she looks photoshopped into the background, I mean she looks wholly computer-generated. Radiant like she's been pumped up with youth serum and embalming fluid.

Liked her brief Beach Boys cover about a minute into that.

Heh.

Wouldn't it be nice if Phil was older?
Then we wouldn't have to wait so long...

I'd forgotten this one. As someone pointed out at the time; it looks exactly like a puzzle screen for a '90s PC adventure game.

buttgammon

That's totally bizarre. The photos are so clearly crowbarred into the scene (with the biggest and most prominent one featuring the most popular one with his brood), it's so painfully staged. I'm clearly in a minority of British people on thinking this, but it's also very disturbing to see the subtext that there are five generations of heads of state in that picture; it tells me exactly why I think monarchy is a batshit idea.

If the CoD is sitting behind the desk, why are the photos facing away from her? On a normal person's desk they face towards you.

Alberon

She's not central with the blotter. Even worse, she's not even facing the desk straight on. It's all over the shop.

Ferris

Lads - that's part of the puzzles. Look, the game is directing you to the pictures because they're so oddly placed.

++Use [letter opener] on [picture frame]

Ferris

Hmm, nothing. Ok.

     ++Investigate [blotter]

     ..
     ..

     **found [BLACKMAIL PHOTOS]**

Aha! Now we're cooking!

(Etc etc)

Maybe she can't stand the sight of the freeloading cunts.

it looks like the wanky UI from a shit tier football management game. where they thought point and click was a good idea on the Amstrad. this is the contract negotiations screen

Ferris

The photoshopping is so wild on it, there's loads of reality-bending stuff going on that you don't notice but in combination make it feel eery and hyper real at the same time. The saturation/sharpness turned to 11 doesn't help either.

That picture of Phil in the back left there would be the shape of a pipe of pringles and he'd be framed from his balls up, if it was real.

It's like she's called us into her office to see some photos, but we're wearing those red/green coloured 3D glasses and her gesturing-arms fell off so we're just staring directly at each other in charged silence.

Unsettling stuff.
