Which one from RLM would you most like to go with the cinema with?

I know cinemas aren't open at the moment for most (all?) of us, but if you had to go and see a film with one of the RedLetterMedia crew (let's imagine this taking place post-pandemic) which one would it be?

Would it depend on the film? I think if it was a comedy I would like to go with Rich Evans as I like his laugh and enjoy his other noises of amusement. If it was a film that turned out to be rubbish, I would like to go with Mike as he would be great at shredding the film in our after cinema pub discussion. However, I think if it was any other type of film Jay would be the nicest to spend time with.

I've never met any of them in real life and know nothing about them apart from their excellent Youtube channel and commentaries though, so I might be completely wrong.

Defnintely Jay. He's more on-the-money as a film critic IMHO and he's also generally amused by pretty much anything even if he doesn't approve of what he's seeing. He just seems happy to be watching movies.

You can imagine Mike being a bit of a downer. He's my favourite RLM fella when I'm watching at home but for the purposes of sharing popcorn, Jay's my choice. Mike would be sighing all the way through it. Probably blowing off too.

She allegedly got scared off by their reddit fanbase (one particular weirdo in particular set up a subreddit devoted to her, reposting stuff from her social media accounts etc.). It got to the point where the the moderators of the RLM subreddit had to add a rule about not asking what happened to her.

Allegedly. They had Gillian Bellinger on a few times too, who appeared in some of their films, but she moved to LA to pursue her acting/comedy career. (she seemed to have an interesting chemistry with Jay, too) I'm surprised they have never had Jocelyn Ridgely on BOTW, one of their friends who has been in a lot of their other stuff (best known for playing Nadine in the Plinkett reviews), or Dixie Jacobs, another of their recurring players.

Jim from Canada and Colin from Canada are both great.

I expect Jim has very busy with work on Vikings, being an Emmy Award-winning VFX artist and all.

Probably Josh or Jack. I think Josh tends to be a bit overshadowed by the others but i enjoy the re:view episodes he's on. I'd go the cinema with Jack just to see how often he does the "home alone looking shocked with both hands on cheeks" look that he does whilst watching the film.

I think Mike would start to annoy me after a while but Jay & Rich seem like a great bunch of lads.

I like Mike a lot. I find his whole manner and voice kind of soothing. The others are ok I guess. I kind of feel like Jay is one of those "tricky" people. The twinkle in his eye. I can imagine him trying to annoy you for fun or "catch you out" or something. Rich seems sweet I suppose. I never even noticed till now that they rarely have female guests, but I guess there is an old fashioned "guys watch movies while their wives are away" feel to it.

Josh is nothing but an irritant.  Throughout the film you'd sense him constantly glancing and gawping at you, endlessly checking that you are in agreement with his experiences and making himself the very centre of your attention.

Can't be doing with that kind of neediness when watching a film.  Jay would be my preferred companion, and I could have Rich Evans anywhere else within the same screening and I'd still hear him.  Best of both worlds.
