Gurke and Hare

There were no especially good matches, but that was great.

Mobius

Sad I missed today's episode, sounds like it was a fun and chaotic one though.

Some good shows coming up!

DYNAMITE- Wednesday September 22nd

Kenny Omega Vs Bryan Danielson- NON-TITLE
Britt Baker Vs Ruby Soho- Women's Title
Cody Rhodes Vs Malakai Black
Sting & Darby Allin Vs FTR
MJF Vs Brian Pillman

RAMPAGE- September 24th

CM Punk Vs Powerhouse Hobbs
Adam Cole & The Young Bucks Vs Christian Cage & Jurassic Express
Chris Jericho & Jake Hager Vs Men of The Year

Ja'moke

Rampage is two hours next week too. Mox & Eddie vs Suzuki & Archer is going to be added to Rampage.

Mobius

Just caught up on Dynamite. Man, just a great episode. Enjoyed every segment, solid matches, hot crowd. So much going on in that episode and then you think of all the people who didn't even appear and all the feuds that weren't mentioned.. so much good stuff going on

We've talked about the roster maybe being overloaded, but this is one of the great results of that - you have no idea who might or might not show up on any particular show and there's a feeling that anything might happen.

The cards for next week are insane. Can't believe we're getting Bryan v Omega this soon, but glad they've kept it non-title.
Assume it's primarily to get some decent and remotely recent clips of them fighting to use in promo packages in the future

Had a call with the Department of Labor. If you are a current or former
@WWE
performer who feels you were misclassified as an independent contractor contact
@lkmiddleb
and let's get you what Vince owes you. Been a long time coming but this storyline is real.

BeardFaceMan

He's talked big like this before and nothing has come of it but he does seem like a genuine wrestling fan, so who knows?

Dark Side tonight, and it looks like they have one of the flight attendants who sued WWE for sexual assault taking part in the show. This could be bad.

it is also hotshotting a bit, let's not forget a war has two sides

Ja'moke

Dynamite beat Raw in the key demo again this week (just).

going by things like this and this it sounds like it's going to be a real test of just how teflon Ric Flair is

Tommy Dreamer came across as a complete dickhead

Yep, not sure how it's possible but I think Dreamer came off the worst out of anybody, other than Ol' Helicopter Flair. Ever wondered why shit like this was seen as commonplace and allowed to continue? Because of idiots like him.

Yeah, Flair is fucked this time, surely?

BeardFaceMan

Apparently he was on Renee's podcast a few weeks ago and she asked him about the ep and he said that he'd go back on the podcast to defend himself after the episode had aired, he'd done nothing wrong etc. Again, this news is shocking to no one but now you have a victim on camera making claims and not just the boys telling stories about the boys being bloody good ol' boys with a smile on their face it might play a little differently. I just hope the old cunt is kept as far away from AEW as possible.

peanutbutter

Knowing Flair, I've close to no doubt that any attempt by him to respond will result in him digging a far bigger hole for himself. If he actually just stays quiet for a year or so he might ultimately get away with it. He's 72 and at this stage he stands to make as much doing shit like conventions and cameo as any kind of extended on screen role; had he still been with WWE he'd have to deal with some kind of fallout but right now all he has to do is just keep his mouth shut.

Can't imagine AEW will go near him now and that's all for the better.

Anyone go to any Rev Pro shows since they restarted? Tempted to grab a ticket for Sunday

It's rare for me to actually swear out loud at the television like an old man watching sports but Dreamer actually got me to yell "Shut up you stupid fucking cunt!" His smug "Oh if it was so serious maybe she shouldn't have taken the pay out..." Get in the bin you sad old never-was.

Hopefully that's enough to keep Flair away from AEW. I reckon they were waiting to see what the response would be, which is disappointingly cynical anyway. But surely they can't debut him anytime soon after this?

Also, RVD just nonchalantly mentioning the boys used to rape locals from town-to-town was something else.

BeardFaceMan

It's like they got Dreamer in just so they could have someone say something positive about Flair for a bit of balance so it didn't look like a hatchet job. Dreamer wasn't even on the plane, who gives a fuck what his opinion on what happened is?

It is odd that they spent more time on Michael Hayes' ponytail then they did on the H-Bombing. Fucking horrible stuff.

Custard

Out and out sexual assault. AEW would be mental to bring him in. They don't need the nutty old cunt anyway

Yeah, went to the Cockpit229 show a couple of weeks ago. Michael Oku is still really good. RKJ led the crowd in a chant of "Fuck Will Ospreay" which is fair enough, but weren't the Knight family (possibly not Ricky) outed as a load of abusers as well during Speaking Out? Going on Sunday too.

Speaking of Ospreay, NJPW have just announced US dates for him in October, so possibly he'll do something in AEW too?

Ja'moke

I haven't seen Dark Side yet, but apparently it also mentioned Lesnar flashing Terri Runnels? I doubt anything will happen to Brock though.

Yeah and JR mentioned he didn't believe it, stressed it *could* have happened but he'd never heard about it. Is it just me, or does JR not come off great on these Dark Side shows?

Old Thrashbarg

I don't think JR said that he didn't believe it, just that he hadn't been told about it. Which, given the immediate reaction from Terri's ex-husband who was in the room with her at the time was to tell her to not say anything, is probably believable.

JR seemed embarrassed by his role in the whole thing, though whether that was because he didn't do his job well enough (allowing this culture to grow in the first place and then not putting a stop to it) or because Vince didn't allow him to do more, I'm not sure.

Vince being on the plane, separate from the chaos by a curtain, and barely receiving a mention hasn't been talked about enough really. If he'd wanted to put a stop to it he could've done quite easily.

She talked about this (or this came up, pardon the expression) last year when all the #SpeakingOut movement was happening. Nothing happened to Orton over the "shake my hand" story, so even less will happen to Brock.

The second clip here actually serves as an unintentional but fascinating insight into the mind of ego-driven sexual predators, even porn doesn't require this much suspension of disbelief https://twitter.com/davidbix/status/1438690453222825986

Maybe, but there's no way this is the first he's heard of it.

I think it was Cornette who was saying that Vince just wants to be one of the boys, ever since he was a kid and his dad wouldn't let him be a wrestler. That's why he gets other people to deliver bad news for him, why when people get fired they blame everyone apart from Vince, who is their greatest mate. That's why he did fuck all on the plane, because he wanted to be one of the boys and didn't want to be the one to stop their fun, he wanted someone else to do it.

Deanjam

I'll never look at Brock again without thinking of his tiny pink cock.

Flair could easily weather this by apologising and blaming his alcoholism, but Dreamer and RVD? Fucking yikes.

BeardFaceMan

To be fair to RVD (and I do think he's a bit of a prick these days) he didn't say the h-bombing was something he did, just that it was the culture wherever he went to work. Dreamer can get fucked with his 'boys just being boys, get over it' attitude, though.

Custard

Yeah, I took it more as RVD looking down on the stuff he's heard happening, rather than saying he was involved in it

RVD does seem like a but of a knob these days though, unfortunately. His Instagram is mainly pictures of him posing near naked with his young plastic titted girlfriend and her equally bimbo looking friends, or showing off smoking THE DRUGS like a 14 year old

Wrestling eh? What a biz
