Watched one of his ('Fateful Findings') and wouldn't you know it, between the moments of clanging incompetence it dragged like hell and felt like an evening totally wasted. Could never get into this 'eyyyyy look how bad this is' mindset, feels like an unseemly way of seeking pleasure. Ed Wood is at the very least a fascinating figure with a 'boulevard of broken dreams' quality, with his films populated by showbiz cast-offs and reflecting his own experiences as an LA fringe figure, the ultimate disreputable artist, pumping out cheap paperbacks and weird genre films (including, eventually, pornography). Breen is just a rich narcissist with nothing authentic to transmit, not even by accident.

For what it's worth I don't like Fateful Findings either (or 'The Room' for that mattter).  For me, the best is 'Double Down' because you can at least figure out vaguely what he's trying to say with it and there's some batshit crazy stuff in there.

'Twisted Pair' is also quite fun for the bad CGI and gratituous stock footage.

EDIT: Nearly missed a chance to bang on about 'Fight of Fury' by Shuny Bee.  There I said it.  Phew.

Breen films are incredible.
You could randomly select any 10 seconds from any of his films and something dreadful (in a filmmaking sense) will happen.
You have to admire that level of consistency.

I like the fact you despise it so much. Yeah there's nothing beyond comic-book American middle class fantasy to ongoing delusion of Breen.
But everyone has the right to love.

C'mon Madhair pick a trailer. My guess is you're more a magic man vs government story?
I'd go for fateful findings.

Retrospective.

Neil how have you been able to write, produce, direct, and act and self-fund FIVE theatrical, independent feature films?
