A thing that's listed in the book as something they're not supposed to do.

This is a better source that says they're allowed to do it, although I still don't think it would be acceptable in the instance depicted.

QuoteIn circumstances where the officer feels that there is no other alternative available
to them
and it is a reasonable and absolutely necessary response to the level of
force being used or threatened, then the edges of the shield can be used by
being driven towards the offender. This use must be the minimum amount
necessary and proportionate to the seriousness of the circumstances they find
themselves in.

That's just laughable, and sinister. No one calls the police "The Bill", they call them "Old Bill". It's clear what the hashtag refers to, the legislation.

The only coppers who should even think of being offended are the ones at Sun Hill. And I don't see Tosh Lines or Derek Conway getting annoyed about it on Twitter.

Sebastian Cobb

As if Tosh is sober enough to read twitter these days :(

Imagine how tough her whole life must be, being a police and dealing with all the horrific stuff we're so grateful the polis deal with for us.  Imagine the size of her balls, dealing with all that, actually being alive in the real world and yet having the sensibilities of a Victorian spinster.  Fuck me, sorry for her trouble, what a brave soul.

I learned today it is much better to use beef or mutton fat for suet as bird food, rather than bacon.

No, they call them the filth or if they're feeling generous, the pigs.

If they meant #KillTheFilth, people would say '#KillTheFilth before they kill you.'

Hi @ASPolice @AandSPCC

Can you please carry out an urgent investigation into this incident on Bond Street outside Showcase Cinema during the last #BristolProtest.

As can be seen, some of your officers appear to stamp on & strike a protester who is on the ground not moving.

Blimey, this photographer got attacked by the filth twice. Note the shield 'blading' technique being used during this second attack.

Wound of someone who took a police baton to the head last night in Bristol.

If a normal person does this to someone else they end up in prison. But when the police do it they get adulation from the press and major parties.
