I'd eat a badger (except for the tadger (keen sodomists, badgers))

Watched this a few times and it's pretty intriguing. Looks cat-like and has to be at least as big as the swan in the foreground - though not clear whether the swan is a fully-grown adult.

Have you got a link to a professionally designed news site instead of these clickbait sites? I heard the Independent is a respectable newspaper, maybe they cover this?

I don't think anyone is in any doubt that people have released or let escape large cats over the past decades and that those cats have probably lived for a number of years in the wild and account for the very sporadic sightings. I think the question is more along the lines of is there a breeding population out there or even is there a breeding population of a new unknown species of large cat?

A few years ago a girl I know who owns a farm down in the Scottish borders was driving up the farm track back to her home one evening after dark when a really large black cat crossed the track in front of her with huge bright eyes caught in the headlights. She described it as being slightly bigger than a sheepdog. She was so utterly terrified her husband had to come out with a gun and get her from her car.

There's at least one thats been spotted occasionally up in Fife. https://www.fifetoday.co.uk/news/big-cat-caught-video-fife-1086820

So yeah they're real but its whether or not they're breeding I think is the question.

Spent a few hours standard in a forest around dawn/dusk and trying my best not to shit myself, but no luck.

It's the journey that matters.

That's quite clearly just a fat domesticated cat.

Well, it's either a fat, domesticated cat or the world's smallest tabby puma.

I know which side of the debate I fall upon.
