Getting bored waiting for the new Lord of the Rings TV series? Well, why not watch one that has already been made?

Admittedly, it was made thirty years ago in Russian for about the price of a bag of potatoes, but it does keep Tom Bombadil in which just about every other adaptation chops.

There is also the Finnish TV version 'Hobitit' which is all up on YouTube. The complete story....except...it follows Frodo and Sam so all the big battle scenes are missing! Good fun if you can stand the cheesiness of it all though.
