Even if you loved the royals, what would be the point in watching the rolling coverage all day and night?
endless wanking[nb]wanking over your love for the royals I mean[/nb] material

plus the opportunity for post-wank virtue-signalling. "Oh I just couldn't bring myself to turn it off, what a tragedy, and so sad for the Queen, I'm just devastated, hnnngh got to wank again"

Chappelle's Show on Netflix.

Had only ever seen the famous Clayton Bigsby (blind, black white supremacist) sketch before, saw that the show is at a surprisingly high #61 on IMDB's Top 250 TV shows, and so thought it was time I gave it a go.

Just noticed tonight's Pointless Celebs is the one with the fourth appearance of CaB fave Richard Herring. Looks like he is teamed up with Les Dennis so might be good value, assuming not knocked out in the first round of course.

Fake Edit: like this thread should be in Picture Box should this post be in Comedy Chat?

Bastard Radio Times lied to me. Said it was a new episode!

The Pointless Celebs repeat with RH seems to have now disappeared from tonight's schedule on iPlayer [did it contain a joke about Phil?].

Gardener's World on BBC2 @ 8pm.

^ They're repeating Series 13.

Been checking. Turns out this was slated as a new episode after all. First Herring appearance was with Rhona Cameron, second with Robert Webb then third with Catie Wilkins. Fourth should have been today with La Denis but unlike the thread title I will not be watching it tonight as there is presently an extended news prog where they are scooping the news that Prince Pip has died... feck they are getting desperate now they are interviewing Giles Brandreth as I type.

From Herrings Twitter feed....

QuotePointless Celebrities will now air on 24th April, assuming the rest of the royal family remain safe. Personally I feel April 24th is too soon to return to normal tv schedule, but I guess the BBC don't respect Prince Philip as much as me #shameonthem

I got my partner the box set of Boardwalk Empire for Christmas so we'll be watching a couple of episodes from season five tonight. (I'm always way behind everyone else - I only got around to binge-watching The Wire last year and still haven't watched Game of Thrones).

An tSaoi

Wait till you find out who shot JR.

An tSaoi

Wait till you find out what happens to Jack the dog from Little House on the Prairie. I won't spoil it, but it involves the dog dying, and ending up dead.

Oh no! Well as long as it's a quick death and he doesn't suffer - something like a motorcycle crash.

An tSaoi

Wait till you find out what happens at the end of John Logie Baird's inaugural speech on the very first television broadcast.

Spoilers: he shits himself.

non capisco

Probably something undercooked in one of those pic-a-nic baskets.

Sherringford Hovis

Final Space S3. Slightly ruined for me by coming here too often with all the LEG END Gary stuff, but still.

Disenchantment Ep 25 on.

Solar Opposites Ep 4 on.

Yes, I am a big baby that only watches cartoons.

looking for something long and ponderous and weird to watch, people, maybe not fiction, maybe more of a documentary or a good Youtube host who doesn't talk mad, oddball, I need an oddball given free reign

For me, it's some Ultraseven

Vintage tokusatsu from 1967. Second Ultraman, and third series in the Ultra franchise. Classic stuff.

I watched an amazing film "Whiplash" last night, and it was so powerful I'm going to watch it again tonight...
what a feeble, pointless post :(

The script wasn't finished the day shooting started and Brendan Gleeson quit the week before because he could see it was going that way.

Fucking hell Colm Meany and Brendan Gleeson are two different people.

I'll be rewatching the Detectorists because we were saving the last two episodes, then we had a child and I've forgotten everything so will start from the beginning.

I been watching Day of the Outlaw, a brilliant, tense late 50s Western. Now watching Alain Robbe-Grillet's Trans-Europe Express, an erotic, abstract, film-within-a-film S&M detective thriller.

And when that's done, it's time for 90 Day Fiancé: Darcey & Stacey!

Tried the new Netflix art heist thing - An Awfully Big Robbery or something similar - about the Isabella Gardener Museum robbery in 1990. Lost interest as it's  just more rehashing so went to Phone Shop for a pick me up. Best decision I've made in a while.

What?  Say sa'thin.

And Mr Show clips.

I spit on your spit.
I piss on your spit.
I shit on your piss.
I fart on your shit.
I laugh at your fart.
We are friends again hey!!

Just been re-watching a bit of Curb season 1, including Porno Gil. Noticed for the first time that Gil's "House That Cum Built" has a pool table and couldn't help imagining Gil going all Van Hammersly on it.

I have also been watching way too much snooker.

Rewatched Absolutely Fabulous Season 5. I love later seasons Bubble. When she gets all sarcastic and doesn't give a fuck. Have to fast forward through scenes with Saffy's friend Sarah though, painful to watch.

Rewatched Absolutely Fabulous

That's on Netsflix so I've been casually watching some AbFab during dinner. Occasionally I will have a moment of realisation and suddenly wonder what the fuck this TV show even is. I know it's a broad satire of media types and idiots who live off other people's money with some surreal touches here and there but I reckon if you analysed that show properly it would be hard to quantify. Why am I watching this? Is it funny? If so, why? What's this all about? What's going on?

The last episode they went to Morocco, got lost and then somehow made it back to the hotel. I can't remember anything of note or incidence in the plot at all. Or any jokes. It's a strange show at times. Just a sort of average sitcom dragged along episode to episode by the talent of Saunders and Lumley.

Also for years I thought it was "please notify my next of kin, this will shall explode" because next of kin would be sitting around listening to your will being read after you died. It sort of has some stitch of logic to it. Some light googling tells me it's actually "please notify my next of kin, this wheel shall explode" which makes no sense to me at all. When people say Bob Dylan was a shockingly bad lyricist at times I find it very difficult to argue with.

Why would a wheel explode?
