a photographic print of some clowns
a photographic print of a hot air balloon
a fish tank full of tropical fish
some wooden bricks or something, dolls and stuff
coffee table with old copies of good housekeeping

he was nice but a bit rubbish. I still have all of my original teeth. what do you recommend?

If they are all original you could take your teeth with you and find a different dentist.  There is only an obligation to stay when the teeth in your mouth are no longer fully owned by you.
