How did I know this would be that?

Because it's the only thing that could possibly live up to the billing.

Captain Z

"David's Dead" must be a contender.

This (Guy Goma) was one of the first times I remember YouTube being the place you could immediately turn to see something like this.

Dr Rock

What about that time someone (me) phoned up Matthew Wright?

Inspector Norse

QuoteOn 23 August 2006, film producer Alison Rosenzweig stated that she had begun developing a film based on his life, particularly this one incident, commenting "He's a fun, kind of internationally famous person that I think is an interesting source for movie material."[10] As of March 2021, no such film has been produced.

Turns out the caller was actually recording himself on cassette tape. He's uploaded a longer version to YouTube with the original show spliced in.

If only Wright had asked you to repeat your line.

The idea that that has shattered an unbroken run of years of nice callers is wonderful. Viewers at home going 'no, it's been ruined now, switch it off'.

Readers, that is not me.
I'm well aware, I was just saying that was the funniest one on that show because Wright asked him to repeat it.

Love the voice in the background, presumably production staff, shouting "Noooooo!" in disbelief at Wright.

The bloke can't believe his luck that he gets to say it again.

Chairman Yang

Honestly thought this was going to be that Bobby Davro snuff tape.
