The last 48 hours have been telling in that apparently:

1) some (2?) people being antisemitic from a car deserves more attention than family homes, buildings, and media centres being bombed
2) a Labour politician who is effectively a batsman for Israel in the UK expressing basic human sympathy for unambiguous suffering is a vicious inflammatory liar*

*he is, but not on this, let's stick to the point

I hope, though I will be wasting my time, that Wes Streeting looks at that hysterical vicious response and has a lightbulb moment to not be on that side of history or anywhere near psychopaths of that kind.

I said I'd put up a Palestine dove/flag thing in my window - just my pathetic attempt to show solidarity.  Anyway, caught myself worrying that someone (that I don't even know exists here but is Jewish) might walk past and feel hurt - it made me see how terribly reality, in this case, my wish to support Palestinian people being oppressed and show my desire for peace, has or is being twisted.  So now expressing such things could be read as antisemitism, really the absolute opposite of what most people would want but to avoid it they feel obliged to say nothing about any of it.

I'm gonna be fair on Streeting for his silly football teams tweet last week, the guy was just after getting a cancer diagnosis so I can't imagine his head was in the right space. Not exactly like he has much of anything to gain expressing any kind of support for Palestine when he's so heavily tied to Labour Friends of Israel too.
