Don't know yet, it should arrive today.

But it must be, mustn't it!

I've heard that the arrangements are interesting, rather than being like the originals, which I'm approaching with a mix of excitement and dread.

Doesn't sound at all naff, it's that's what you're worried about. Dolenz sounds great.

I like it a lot!

Nine Times Blue and Propinquity are 2 of my favourite Nes songs anyway, so it's good that Micky has nailed them, but that version of Circle Sky is amazing.

Dolenz' voice sounds fantastic - especially for a man in his mid-70s.

Phew.

Yeah I was really impressed with his voice, and the arrangements are great. Only listened to it on Spotify, might have to invest in it.

I'm impressed with his voice and the arrangements too. He could've easily just knocked out a straightforward covers album, but clearly a lot of thought has gone into this. As Dr Greggles says, that raga rock version of Circle Sky is totally unexpected and wonderful. It works beautifully.

I've only listened to the album once, but already I think it might be up there with Good Times! as a late-period Monkees delight. What a pleasant surprise!

5 years today since Good Times came out

That's a bit insane, isn't it? Half a sodding decade!

I'm a reasonably late adopter. Been putting 'Me and Magdelena' on a few mixes for people recently and the reaction is, quite rightly, always along the lines of "Fuck me, that Monkees song is beautiful!".

"And I don't know if I've ever loved any other..."

Nesmith and Dolenz have such a beautiful harmonising blend.
