See if I was going to criticise "sissy porn", I would (based off of what Wikipedia tells me) talk about the idea that "feminising" a man is inherently humiliating and how that derives from toxic masculinity and patriarchal culture. Once again missing the forest for 1% of the trees.

They think "sissy" is a, forgive me, 'AGP' thing, despite it being a humiliation kink. And presumably a fairly niche one? I only heard of it when trying to buy a petticoat off of eBay and seeing listings with "sissy" in the title. Had this same argument with a MNer who was adamant that trans women are all into it because they aspire to be hyper-feminine.

I actually just googled sissy hypno, and it wasn't what I expected or visualised - some dominatrix POV waving a watch at the screen, putting lipstick on you and calling you a wimp. It's some binaural beats bullshit telling you you're a woman. Big ol' stretch to call it porn. I don't know how you could legislate about it either. The comments make it seem like some cis women use it.

If you were into being feminised by a woman and then called a big wimp, then the absolute worst thing would be for all of society to agree to call you a woman and treat you with respect.

Relevant section of Cringe (Contrapoints), talking about specific right-wing trans creators: https://youtu.be/vRBsaJPkt2Q?t=3118 (contains transphobia)

Thanks! I haven't got round to watching that one yet, but that's excellent.

Glinner is acting like he can't be funny while all this is going on. The truth is it is scientifically impossible for Terfs to be funny. Name a funny Terf, you can't. Meanwhile the world is full of delightfully witty and charming trans folk. Contrapoints of course, also on YouTube there's Sam Collins, Jessie Gender, Miss London, Samantha Lux, and my newest discovery, comedian Patti Harrison:

Patti Harrison is brilliant. Her Instagram is horrible and hilarious

The problem is, transphobes think they're the height of hilarity and wit when they say "ahahaha look at that trans woman, looks like a man, ahahaha" even though it's been a common trope of (British) comedy for decades. They're so consumed by their own hatred that their sense of what's funny gets permanently warped.

I highly doubt Graham is currently able to write any character that isn't completely based around trans issues.  He doesn't think about anything else.  At least I think about christmas lights or tits occasionally[nb]Note to self:  Idea for comedy series about a shopping mall Santa who wakes up one Christmas morning to find his nipples have turned into christmas lights.  Call it 'Santa and his Amazing Christmas Tits'[/nb], for him it's 24/7 men in dresses.

sophie.pilbeam

I don't think Graham was ever that funny? Even before his meltdown, I remember watching The IT Crowd and thinking, oh, this is just the worst bits of Ted and the worst bits of season one Black Books without anything holding them together. I don't think he "lost it" so much as "it" was being provided by his collaborators, and without them it's just faux-surreal contrivances, film parodies, and bits stolen from Seinfeld.

Anyway, re: Sissy Porn / Hypnosis - Yes, it's primarily a humiliation thing and it's not "for" trans people specifically, but if you're trans and having trouble accepting / articulating it, it can be a way to cope with / explore your feelings. There are trans women who'll say that "sissy porn made me trans", but it's more like sissy stuff provided a secure mental space where those feelings were being articulated concretely for the first time. I don't think it's necessarily an ideal space for that, but there are very few of those spaces in existence to begin with.

Like, my first coherent trans feelings came from anime, which is another one of their bugbears. It didn't "make me trans", it was just the first place I was exposed to the concept of changing gender, and suddenly everything snapped into place in my ten year old brain: If what happened to this character happened to you, you would be happy. It wasn't a trans recruiting tool and the gender change was played for laughs, but it still had that effect on me because of what was already stewing.

He latest good news celebrating our loathsome right wing press from the Daily Mail to the JC intimidating institutions to drop support for Stonewall is perhaps another new low of are we the baddies, but also illustrates quite well just how much influence these lossmaker publications have

She was a writer, and consultant I think, on Dispatches from Elsewhere, which has one of the best, most rounded trans character I can remember seeing on television

I'm not trans, but I think the first time I was given a world where people could change gender on  a whim, and it was totally normal, was book by Tanith Lee called Drinking Sapphire wine, who wrote some Blake's 7 episodes.

retsuza

Their obsession with "sissy porn" is very strange. I suppose half of it is the conspiracy theory that something can "make" someone trans, and the other half is them just not understanding basic cause and effect (that is to say trhat a trans person who happens to be into a particular type of porn that is related to gender identity is more likely because they're trans, and not that it literally hypnotised them into a different gender).

Maybe its more simple than that and most of them are are just right wing puritans who are disgusted by fetish/kink stuff, porn, sex in general.

Would also like to point out that I am also not trans, I hope I'm not being too presumptous or rude in my posts. My best friend is trans and she has mentioned something similar.

Barry Admin

The obsession with SISSY HYPNO PORN is nothing short of hilarious, let's be honest. The best thing terfs can do is continue to bang on about it.

Poirots BigGarlickyCorpse

And we're back again to the easiest form of "feminism" possible. Most visual porn is made for cis male consumers (women generally prefer written porn and yes yes I know about exceptions don't @ me). While one would hope that all porn is produced for an adult audience who understand that it's a fantasy, there's no denying that teenagers look at this stuff, on their phones, in their beds, and in the absence of other information about sex and relationships it can give them a really warped idea about sex. But coming out against porn enjoyed by 90% of the male population is haaaaarrrrd. Let's seize on this niche genre that we definitely don't look at or wank over and decide that it's part of the Trans Agenda. Much easier than talking about patriarchal and misogynistic attitudes depicted in regular porn that My Nigel enjoys.

SISSY HYPNO PORN sounds like a what3words location.

idunnosomename

Sadly not. There's FUSSY NYLON CORN in Powys though.

JaDanketies

I do think that people wouldn't call sissy hypno 'porn' if they Googled it. Ain't nobody wanking to that.

Which anime, just out of interest? Was it Ranma 1/2? I'm a bit of an anime fan myself and there's a couple of magical girl ones I like where a character changes gender.

Why can't they watch perfectly respectable porn like "Step Sister Stuck In Tumble Dryer Begs To Be Analyzed" ?
Cis porn is fucking creepy.

Yeah. I wasn't even watching it, I just saw the synopsis mentioned in a video game magazine.

That's kind of notable, actually. I saw a lot of gender-bending media growing up and connected to maybe 2% of it. The premise mattered, but I didn't relate to much beyond that, because the women they became weren't anything like who I wanted to be. Took me a long time to get my head around the fact I could be trans and a boring cat lady.

Graham Line-han.

lol Baroness Nicholson is every bit the patronising old duffer youd expect. Full thing here (not bananacunt channel)
https://youtu.be/7S2EHoDjeXE

She really does speak to the two men first.

Cuellar

"I only had Nicola down to speak"
"...I am Nicola"
"OK...well, let's move on, to Graham Line han"

Incredible amounts of ineptitude in a mere 1 minute

I need to know if there is anything in that video actually worth watching. I got to three minutes and then remembered it's Saturday and I can be doing literally anything else.
