Can't deal with this this year, everywhere I go aches with an absence of shadows and me poor old broken down body doesn't have the vitality it had but two summers past.

Also I've started sweating profusely from the hairline and it means my eyebrows are saturated with sweat.

Went out for a walk at lunch. Muggy is the best way I'd describe it.

Warm enough to crack open an afternoon G&T while pretending to be on the clock.

Utter shite. Hopefully it only lasts for a week or so and it'll get back to being rainy and a tad cooler.

Thanks to humans being cunts, it's going to get hotter every year or whatever and fuck that.

Thunderflies are worse than flying ants. They itch to look at. Getting stuck behind your laptop screen making it look like you've used too many commas.

25⁰ here at the moment, apparently (I can well believe it). I live in a flat with big windows in every room, so it gets absolutely boiling in here. I actually had to close the curtains earlier as I was out, and didn't want my rabbit to overheat.

My friends in Portland were dealing with 112F/44C a few weeks ago. Considering their climate is usually like ours, and air conditioning isn't common, it sounded like absolute hell. Spent years in Florida where it's mid 20s C in winter, and 30s in summer, but everywhere is air conditioned and with ceiling fans so you only really feel the heat on the way to and from your car or if you're at a theme park.

25 here today and I felt it was a bit much when I was sitting out back, I think being a stone heavier than I was last summer has added to that. But, I do always feel happier in the sun and we get fuck all per year so making the most of it. There'll be plenty of time to be cold and miserable from about October through to spring.

I much prefer fahrenheit as a temperature thing, it just sounds more spectacular when you get up into the 90s and 100s.

"It's 25⁰" sounds really weedy in comparison.

I've got my shorts on right now! I managed to get some that cover enough but not too much (knee-length shorts just draw more attention to my huge fat legs, somehow). I hate putting on long pants when I have to go into the office. I'm almost tempted to put on a skirt for the first time in twenty years.

At 8:40pm. In Ireland. On the coast.

That's decent. It was 22ish during the day.

Funny how in the middle of winter you're dreaming about heatwaves, then when it's peak summer you end up moaning about how you couldn't handle living in a hot country. Feel like my torso is being melted right now.

Temperatures mean nothing for comfort if you don't also specify humidity.
