Can someone explain this to me, I'm really struggling with it.

I starting playing around with the phrase 'poverty gap', but suspect I'm massively over thinking it.

Didn't they decide to close down all the branches of Gap (the clothes shop) in the UK the other day? So maybe the bloke is meant to be a sacked Gap employee forced to sell the Big Issue.

Coming back to this thread as I was browsing Pocketmags and they have something called Smug Bear: https://smugbear.com/

It appears to be a mix of newspaper cartoons and fwd: fwd: fwd: jokes. For £2.99.  One of these, published in 2021, is about President Obama. Really odd thing that looks like a low-effort GCSE Media Studies project from the late 90s.
