The Ascent

Released yesterday on Xbox Game Pass and PC The Ascent is a top down Cyberpunk RPG twin stick shooter.

I had low expectations but it is brilliant. Combat is fluent and fun and the game is absolutely gorgeous.

Anyone else here playing this game at the moment?

Yeah it's pretty good. This and Bloodroot (on Gamepass for xboxers) are two of my fast paced top down games right now. They're ace.

Been hammering this game over the weekend. Very addictive and fun and the world looks lovely. Never played many twin-stick shooter games but the bigger battles certainly get the blood pumping - just non-stop running, rolling, shooting, ducking behind stuff. I like the enemy AI - it's very aggressive.
