So why does that car look so much like the Bumwagon?

The thought did occur, but popcorn's car can't be the Bumwagon, despite the remarkably similar damage to the bonnet and the identical smashed windshield. You can tell it's a different car because the Bumwagon said "BUMWAGON" on the side, while popcorn's car just has a huge smear of suspicious white paint covering the same location.
