Small Man Big Horse

Bella Thorne's a jesus obsessed newbie drug dealer along with two of her friends, but after money is stolen from them they're in a sod load of trouble so they decide to pretend to be nuns. Director Janell Shirtcliff is a Tarantino wannabe, which of course is the worst thing a human being can be, and Josie Ho as the big villain Queenie turns in one of the most laughably awful pieces of acting I've ever had the misfortune to see, I presumed this must be her acting debut but amazingly she's got 63 credits on imdb, though god knows how as she is absolutely horrendous, this is sub-school play stuff.

I only stuck with it as I'd already quit two other films after ten minutes today, it was short and I'm a disgusting pervert with a slight crush on Thorne, but despite the odd bit of memorable imagery there's nothing of value here at all, the script is bizarrely awful and it's one of those times where I'm stunned this got financing. 1.2/10

Josie Ho is the daughter of a casino billionaire, think that might explain it.

Worse than Penn and de Niro in We're No Angels, then? I saw 2 nuns yesterday, looking in the window of a cake shop. They should make a film about that.

I see from IMDb that first-time director Janell Shirtcliff's last contribution to the cinematic arts was in 2014 when she played "Hot Babe" in a movie called Don Peyote. If she's that serious a Tarantino copyist she'll retire now.

A lot worse, I haven't seen We're No Angels since its release but I remember it as being vaguely watchable, which isn't how I'd describe this at all.

My fear is that she'll want to make nine more movies before doing so, but hopefully this'll be received so poorly that no one will want to work with her again, which might sound extreme but that's how much I disliked this.

Sister Act, Nuns on the Run, and now this. Will the fake nun films never end.

Tarantino wannabe Martin McDonagh doing a remake of Nuns on the Run with Farrell and Gleeson?
