I need a new show to watch and I've been thinking about giving Happy Endings a shot. I really enjoy New Girl (for the most part) and I've heard people say that Happy Endings is slightly spikier than New Girl.

So I just wanted to get your take here.

McChesney Duntz

I enjoyed it. Though it takes the better part of a season before it really kicks in.

Like most sitcoms it takes at least 6 episodes to find itself.

Better than New Girl, imo.

I'm about five episodes in and I'm enjoying it so far. Well established characters, writing that doesn't need you to find the characters likeable to like them (which allows them to be a bit edgier than New Girl) and an enjoyable enough flat share premise.

While it's sad it only got 3 seasons, that may end up being a blessing when all is said and done, because unlike New Girl and Parks and Rec it won't overstay its welcome by 1 or 2 seasons.

I'm on season 2 and I'm seriously enjoying this. It's like Friends but more self aware and with the edges left un-sanded.

Famous Mortimer

It's really good and I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Became great once they didn't give a fuck about being a "traditional" sitcom
