You may ask.  The answer is 'no'.

Don't bother.

It isn't.
I should have said 'I'm aware that it's often said to be a mindbending sci fi classic'

I hadn't seen Highlander until recently and it wasn't as good as I'd been led to expect, although I watched it on TV and there was quite a lot cut out apparently. Also I'm not massively into fantasy action type stuff anyway so maybe it's just not my thing. I liked the Queen tunes though.

Just checked and found there are four whole Bond films I have never seen. I really must rectify this shocking state of affairs.

JesusAndYourBush

I hadn't seen Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves until the other day.  That scene near the end with Alan Rickman's character kidnapping Maid Marian was pure slapstick comedy and I laughed a lot, although it's not supposed to be a comedy, is it?  Then I was confused when the end credits started and I realised they'd not played THAT BLOODY SONG yet, then a minute into the end credits they played it, almost like it'd been added as an afterthought.

There aren't enough Easter Mondays in the world for all the Bond films.

My sister and I loved Highlander when we were kids and rented it out many a time from the local newsagent's poor selection of videos, but I fear it hasn't aged well and so have decided against rewatching it ever again.

I've never seen Gone With The Wind, Titanic or Avatar. But that's all, I've seen all the other films.

Nobody has seen a Bond film all the way through.  Too boring.

rue the polywhirl

Literally watched Highlander just for the Queen tunes and the film itself is such a badly aged, choppily chunked-together relic with terrible effects, the worst lead in Christopher Lambert and a phoning-it-in Sean Connery for all of 20 minutes. And the Queen tunes mainly just appear as snippets whenever someone switches a car radio on  0/10. (And Highlander 2 is supposed to be leagues worse).

I've still not seen Kramer vs Kramer.  The reason I mention it is that in 1979 me and some friends were taken to see a double bill of The Island at the Top of the World & Earthquake and while we were there a friend went out to go to the toilet and came back about 20 minutes later and told us "I just went into the other theatre and I've been watching a porno!", and when we asked what it was called he said Kramer vs Kramer.  So I keep intending to watch it so I can try and work out which scene he saw.  Presumably there's a quite pedestrian bedroom scene with a flash of boob or something?

Funny this came up, I watched KvsK a few weeks ago for the first time and it's a decent film. The scene your friend is talking about is when Hoffman's character has a girlfriend stay over night and she gets up naked in the middle of the night to use the toilet and accidently meets Hoffman's 8 year old son in the hallway who also wants to use the toilet.

Bit noncey to take that as a porno.

Also if anyone hasn't watched The Graduate you really should, did it as a double bill with the above and it's a great film with nice cinematography that I hadn't noticed watching it as a teen.

Writers of Bond 19 consider rewrite

Gulftastic

I've never seen a Bronson Bond. I've just never really got round to sitting down and watching any of his efforts. I'm not sure why. I've seen every other Bond film.

Of everything mentioned in this thread (and I've only read the first two posts so far), Sound of Music and Breakfast Club are well worth watching.

Same for me and Titanic. Everyone likes this but it's patently guff, I'm never going to watch this shit.

Still haven't.

Titanic for me is like Apollo 13. Not my favourite movie by a long shot, yet if someone suggests watching it I'll almost always agree.

funny way of spelling Godfather...

Big trouble in Little China is my unseen film I've been meaning to watch for years.

WhoMe

Blade Runner
2001: A Space Odyssey
Citizen Kane
Pulp Fiction
Taxi Driver
Any classic spaghetti westerns
Up until recently, most of the classic gangster movies. The Godfather, Goodfellas, Eastern Promises, The Irishman (too recent?) well worth it. The Departed I was distracted by the hacky Bawston ahckcents although Jack Nicholson is good value. Just got Casino and maybe Miller's Crossing to get to

are the Bronson Bonds the ones where he goes undercover in Broordmoor and oils his body to nude wrestle the spies to expose them?

Ah there's tons of mega popular movies I haven't seen. Never liked sci fi comic book gubbins, i'm a snob. But I have seen almost every teen coming-of-age film ever made.

Let me shock you, I like Highlander.

The Mollusk

Titanic is a fucking wicked film, it properly kicks off. Hadn't seen it since the year it came out so was highly sceptical but wooiiii it's a belter. The disaster element of it is nerve wracking, really well made I thought UNLIKE THE BOAT HAHA

I will never watch this film. At this point, it will never happen.

Frankly, I am delighted the Titanic hit an iceberg and sank.

That's a good reason to watch it tbh. Stick it on halfway through and you'll have a right laugh.

Ferris

Why would the literal physical end of this shitty doomed vessel be in the middle of the film?

Answer - probably some plot shit I don't care so I guess I'll never know.

Again; I am delighted it didn't make it across the ocean and only wish the iceberg had exploded on impact to doom additional passengers (and any nearby aquatic animals).

It takes a while to sink.
