Almost certainly I reckon.

I don't know how much Sean is into synth pop but he does mention Bronski Beat when talking about his purple jacket.

And one of his letters is to Jimmy Somerville.

Ha fuck that flew over my head when I watched it!

The Crumb

She doesn't cook, her meals are delivered
She's got 3 pairs of glasses
She keeps little bits of soap in a cup!

I know Lamarr isn't all that well liked round here but I fucking love the Silver Man scene.

I was just about to post this. Also love the little mime before "shite".

"For sale- Wedding dress. Size 18 Never worn. Bastard."

The slow burn build up to that joke really makes it.

jsgibble

Errol's little staged tripping over the cans of Blue Rat.

As far as the sketches go one of my favourites is Peter Serafinowicz auditioning that woman buying fake perfume.

The Mollusk

I love Lisa... NASTY little jab.

If it wasn't him it'd be great.
His cuntiness comes through, he can't help it seeping out and his delivery is shite.

"JESUS CHRIST"
Words and phrases permanently lodged in my brain.

The sofa chase soundtracked by the Propellerheads' 'Bang On' is one of my favourite bits of comedy ever.

edit: and Lee Cornes as the cowboy poetry repair guy.

The Mollusk

God yeah the trucker poet is one I always forget about but he's one of the best

buttgammon

Trucker poems! I love the couple's despair when he tries to continue with his awful, awful poem.

The weirdly deep voiced kid talking about how badly wants to go to Lisbon and the Kubrick retrospective at the NFT always tickles me.

I kind of think the fact he's a cunt (and I think a bit of a fighty prick back in the day) adds to it, probably wasn't intentional but still.

Going to have to stop this now.

The bit I found myself laughing at the most on this recent rewatch was the 'sexing the whitebait' scene from Blue Rat. A perfect example of dragging something out way too long but actually keeping it funny (unlike a thing such as Family Guy, for example)

BritishHobo

The one bit that always got me is Errol telling the snidey vicar that they film Hollyoaks in Chester. "Everyone knows that!" Don't know why it always tickled me.

Cold Meat Platter

Love when Errol can't bear to tell the dude from phone shop that he doesn't have the car part, fits his character perfectly and tells you so much about him with hardly anything.

The Mollusk

I've had this little exchange stuck in my head for two days now:

"This Gandhi bloke's amazing!"

"Yeesss, GANDHI! Cheers to Gandhi!"

"Cheers to Gandhi!"

"Gandhi cheers!"

"Gandhi cheeee"

Stoneage Dinosaurs

I love the bit in the holiday episode where Vince tells Errol before he's about to leave "no chicken or poultry in the flat". Just a brilliant, bizarre, unexplained neurosis, which culminates in him walking in on Errol onanistically guzzling down on a pot noodle in front of dozens of food magazines spread out on the floor.

"Have you been eating chicken"
"No! Just looking!"

lol and his boss' "what are you talkin' about? Telling wankers we haven't got their thing in stock is the best part of this job!".

buttgammon

I've been rewatching these, so many wonderful moments, some of which I had completely forgotten. I thought I knew the Blue Rat episode by heart but totally forgot about the pony bloke clinging to Vince's leg and trying to drag him back into his flat!

"Gas is a wonderful treasure. It's given to us by the almighty saviour. He has given us so many wonderful things: gas, coal, oil..." Felix Dexter's cameo is so funny.
