Watched this yesterday for first time in at least twenty years.  The name-dropping and intellectual references have not held up well at all - when Alvy/Allen complains about the pretentious man behind him in the queue you want to say, "Jeez, man, look at yourself!" - but the romantic plot definitely has.  I had forgotten what a wonderful and convincing relationship Annie and Alvy have. You're rooting for the pair of them, not necessarily to stay together, but to be happy.
