popcorn keeps putting the fruit basket on the wrong shelf.

Guys popcorn keeps putting the fruit basket on the wrong shelf. Every time I move it back to the right shelf, he takes it and puts it on the wrong shelf. It's like he's crazy! What can we do to stop him doing this? Apart from fabricating charges against him and having him up on trial for manslaughter?

It just doesn't make sense to me.  There is no conceivable way for a shelf holding "a basket of fruit" to be "right".  It has never happened before.
