If I was a member of the DSA I'd probably be hoping for this to be the end of the AOC phenom because it shows a fatal lack of judgement and very dodgy willingness to do work for a big brand (Vogue) so long as its the right image - but she still seems to be doing pretty solid work in organising and fundraising, so she could still move to that keep doing good stuff without losing face.

It seems likely the stunt was at least in part arranged by Vogue, who AOC has done stuff for before beyond just being interviewed, and the "immigrant POC" who designed the dress is involved with them doing social justice stuff, they had the first video uploaded and all that. The sheer scale of the fuck up suggests that it was out of her hands and no one on her team checked.
