Just saw the news, my day is getting better and better.

sad to reveal that unfortunately pancreas has died. in the seconds before he passed away he did a big poo in his pants and went "oh! oh no! oh, i've done a poo in my pants! i've done a big smelly poo in my clean pants!!" then he fell through the trapdoor to his child porn cellar and landed with his arm extended and index finger pointing at said pornography as if to say "yes, this indeed belongs to me, pancreas"

😂 Serves him right for trying to get Shoulders to shit in my coffee.

Get well soon, Janie!  I'm extremely glad that things have advanced to the point where you two are fairly casual about the whole thing.

Shit sorry I did actually mean to say best wishes to Janie (but not pancreas) and get well soon.

Heh, thank you and yes I'm aware people including me have been affected by Covid deaths or by the pandemic generally, the isolation and disruption, and being flippant about it may not be appropriate in the eyes of some. However I hope the thread title and its separation from other threads like the 'group hug' makes it clear we're just having a daft laugh.

Test and Trace have been very vigilant, they ring me most days since my positive PCR to read through a script about isolation. Yesterday's girl sounded so bored and sleepy I thought she was going to nod off before she got to the end. Today is my last day isolating.

Shoulders?-Stomach!

Without meaning any offence, the disease that is in control of you has made you, in effect, a sense sucking parasite (again, no offence). :o)

Please remain indoors! I want to live, I want to taste and enjoy the full richness of life, Pickled Onion Monster munch and so on.

As if people like you get to be on the streets.

The only thing more repugnant than starting a thread just to say you've got Covid-19 is fondant lung itself.

Pretty sure I've had it since Wednesday. 3 hours on a train with no windows and no fucker aside from me wearing a mask will do that. Just sent off a test so will know for certain but I've been self-isolating since then.

Over the worst of it now. Really bad sore throat and congestion is all I have now. I had the worst muscle pains I've ever had in my legs on Saturday but thankfully that was just one day.

... Really bad sore throat ...

My own anecdotal evidence and (I've just checked) the office for national statistics info suggests this is not a symptom associated with Covid. You might have had another fluey virus. Let us know what the test result is.

Will update with the test result tomorrow.

I should say that the sore throat is relatively new. It was a dry cough on Wednesday/Thursday onwards but the cough has mostly gone now. So long as the muscle pains in the leg don't come back, I'm happy.

Swear I saw that sore throat was a common symptom for double jabbed people, though.

Shoulders?-Stomach!

"A new continuous cough" is one of the triggers, that phrase landed with me at least.

SpiderChrist

PCR test came back negative. Phew. Still not 100% and the cough I have is amazing - I could chainsmoke spliff all day and not cough like this.

Apologies - if it's any consolation I've just been into my local Wilkos and have been encouraging maskless types to spit into my mouth. Hopefully I'll have some better news for you soon.

Get well soon, pancreas.

He can't any more.

Insert your own [he always had no taste because he posted on CaB] gag here.

Should I be referring to him in the past tense? Only time will tell.

I heard they were auditioning organists for the funeral and they're all better than him.

pancreas

What's the problem with that? If I can't play at my own funeral, I'd settle for nothing less than Olivier Latry.

Money wasn't good enough so I gave it a miss. Could be tempted for another 20 quid but we'll see what they say.

Test came back negative. Either I did the test wrong or this is the weirdest flu I've ever had. Ahh well.

I've had a few monster flu/colds this summer (courtesy of the nipper at nursery, fucking thanks) and have been getting covid tests every week (just had one today actually) and nothing.

This covid nonsense does open your eyes to how many shitty (less lethal) viruses are out there at any one time in a population of people.

I'm guessing also 18 months or not being exposed to them as much due to anti Covid measures perhaps means theres less immunity to them so the symptoms you get feel a little different?

Chedney Honks

Or, it's undetectable COVID 3.0

Just saw this on the BBC: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-58624295

It makes sense. I've heard from a few people that they've had bad colds over the last few weeks.

Sky News must be kicking themselves that the BBC beat them to this story.

"Is 'the worst cold ever' going around?"

Yeah - it's called COVID!!!
