Remember this?

HONK!

The ne plus ultra of the indie hype cycle.

Magnum Valentino

Was it good? I really liked the look of it from the trailer.

I know nothing of hype, haven't been on another website in fucking yonks.

It was pretty fun I thought, quite universal appeal so the hype seemed pretty warranted. It was hardly getting Celeste/Undertale/Hades style hype of being a great game.

wooders1978

It was fucking rubbish - a baffling amount of hype for what was basically a bang average mobile game

I enjoyed it. Just being a massive wanker to people was a huge pleasure.

Nice slippers, mate, be a shame if I were to chuck them in a pond.

brat-sampson

It made for a fun few hours, it was cheap, you could honk at people and be a Cunt Goose.

Well-established indie lore FACT that 'Untitled Goose Game' was only reverted to after 'Cunt Goose' failed to pass cert.

A goose? Down with this sort of thing!

Really a massive waste of time of an experience.

Pink Gregory

I liked it and will play it again.  honk.

An average mobile game would cos a lot less and be far more heavily coated in weird monetisation bullshit.

Def an argument part of the hype came from their just being fuck all super basic games of its kind, having been first relegated to mobile experiences and then losing their position there to cheaper to free things with in-app purchases. Very little room in the market anymore for a pleasant but brief distraction.
